Myra, you can get the AE skinnies online at ae.com in short lengths, just not in-store. Try them on for waist size at the store and then order them. They can do it right there at the cash desk for you!

As for OTW, we don't carry anything shorter than 32" these days. You should be fine if you don't have to hem skinnies more than 2", otherwise you'll run the risk of them looking for like a straight leg.

I feel your pain. I have a tough time finding jeans that are the perfect length, too. I have a 33" inseam which means that a 33" ends up being too short after washing and a 34" is still half-an-inch too long after washing. Ugh.

i dont know of any short jeans stores but when i worked at cm the jeans came in a selection of either 32 length or 34 length. so in the case that you have the choice obviously choose the 32 length. you're probably out of luck in the case that the jeans come with a faded knee and you want them hemmed, but otherwise you'll be fine with any other cut so long as they're 34 length max (with the exception of maybe flared jeans).

with skinny jeans, they do not make them more/less tapered around the calf/upper shin so you dont need to worry about the fit being different after a hemming

with flared you might be out of luck but who still wears flared jeans these days! you'll be better off with a boot cut

I have serious problems finding jeans in my length as well (I'm about 5' 3").
So I've totally scrapped the idea of finding designer jeans (I hate hemming pants) and I just get mine at Bluenotes. They have jeans in 30 and 32 length - which is perfect for me. *shrug*

i'm trying to wear pants as little as possible these days being summer and all, but short ladies will rejoice at the news that there is a premium denim line that carries petites made with an inseam for those of us under 5'4 (it's not just about a shorter inseam!)
