Avatar sizing?

Hi there I was trying to mess around with the avatar pics and whatever but i cant get the size of it down right. It says 120 pix by 120. I dunno what that means but i have a pic soo freaking small and it still says that its too big. I am trying to upload it from my computer to the net. Can u check on it or something or help me out. Thanks~

open up an image editing program like photoshop and resize it to fit within 120 x 120

uhhhh, I was THINKIN image cruncher, but there are tonnes of sites online that will shrink images for you..

pull up google and try a search for "online image resize" and see what comes up!

okay this happened to me yesterday too. i resized it properly and then again i tried, and i made it SUPER small. and it still said it was too big?

also, my smileys are working, or the /me is things.

your pic can only be a certian file size 2
so if ur usin a animated gif that may be small
it may have lots of frames and that means the file is 2 big
mite wanna check that out 2
