incidentally, 300-500 is really lowball if you need the dj to provide all the gear.

^ most i've dealt with are more along the lines of $500 - $800

$300 is really lowball. $500 is the low end of the deal but usually gets you no-frills.

absolutely not true. weddings and corporate functions usually run $600 - $1000 depending on size of venue.

Wrong, we rented a DJ with equipment last year for our staff Christmas party and it cost us just under $900 - this included set up and take down.
