before my mom left for japan, she spent weeks listening to those annoying learn japanese in a day kinda tapes...and someone told her chinde kudasai and told her what it meant, and so she told my dad

so my parents were out for lunch at a japanese place and when the waiter came along, my dad asked him if he knew japanese...the guy said no, so my dad was like 'shinde kudasai'

the guy was all smiling and was like 'thanks!' and took the order

you know...you sure drink a lot of coffee
