anyone with pierced noses!!!

so i bought a new nose stud thing today...but i didnt buy a screw...i bought just a stick one...

do they fall out really easily?

i had a bigger one in there before...and now this ones tiny...

and im afraid its gonna fall out.

i don't know much about nose piercings, but i was told if you don't have a nose screw it's more likely to fall out

As long as you have the curvy stick one, and you try to make sure its point down towards your nostril most of the time, you should be okay. If it gets into your nose... DO NOT TOUCH IT! Get someone to help you, with tweezers asap. My ex boyfriend downsized and it got stuck in his nose because he pushed it further in trying to get it out... Off to the ER he went... Good times.

I have a nose screw now and I like it... super easy to maintain.

I had straight ones when I had my nose pierced in high school and they fell out sometimes... it all depends if you get the bent ones or not oh and if your friends hit you in the nose with a pool cue when you're drunk :soak:

See if you can curve it at all so it wont fall out as easily! Ive lost most of my straight ones so its probably better to get a screw one!

is it one with the little ball at the end of the post?....pretty much you should have some back ups because eventually they end up falling out at some point.....when i wore a stud i baught them at the little east indian stores because they have these tiny diamond ones with a bendable post so you put it in then kind of clamp it to the inside of your nose, they rarely ever fell out but now I wear a tiny silver hoop, so much easier to deal with. I had my nose pierced for a while the straight peircings don't fall out too easliy just b careful when ur in the shower or washing ur face :)....I lost my nose stud down the drain when i was washing my face and i was too lazy to buy a new one, now my hole is grown over :(

umm I can say much cuz mines a *lil* bigger and not in my nostrill..... n being a circular barebell n stuff....the tusk is completely different too.... I'm just so god damn different nose peircing wise... just dont pick ur nose krista...I know u and those curiosity fingers!

thats what i hate about the straight ones with a ball at the end! It hurts to take it in and out cause the ball is bigger.....ouch! Stick with the screwy ones!

Krista! If you think it's closed over, try to find some "piercing studs" you know the kind you get your ears piecred with by the gun. Clean them good, and stick on of 'em through for a bit. They are usually a bit bigger then most nose screws/studs and such, and are quit easy to put in because they are POINTY! This is what I have to end up doing a lot .... and I still have mine.

Don't use vaseline though, I can't see it being sanitary. And if all else fails, try to get any kind of earing stud in, and go to the nearest piercing place asap, and ask them to put it back in for you. I've had to do this once, and it was $5 - but much worth it.

My opinion ... but I'm no expert.

I didnt read what anyone else said so this might be the same... sorry... the studs do tend to come part way out so you dont notice until someone is stairing at your nose... and the hole can shrink... i vote put the skrew back in befor it wont go back in... the are so much better no worries with the skrew... if you cant get it back in you should use a pointy one you got your ears periced with.... thats what i used when my skrew fell down the drain... it is big and keeps the open till you get the one you want back.

just be careful with the ones with balls on the end, your nose will grow over the stud and you'll have a hell of a time trying to get that little ball through the hole.
