How come I didnt get my refund for Groove then? You decided to make the make up party AquaSky, a 19+ event.

However that was a while ago, no worries. I dont need my refund now. I just choose wisely about my parties :)

I've come to notice with Vancouver, you win some, you lose some.

I still have my Grand Finale ticket, and Glow 2004 ticket.

First of all there a very very little usuable venues available to do an underground show in......or else there would be a lot more.....trust me

Second how do you get a second venue? Pay another Downpayment on the second one? That can be pretty expensive. That would drive up ticket prices considerably. It would also piss off the second venue owner if you didn't show up the night of the show cause they could've booked the place for full price to someone else
I am not in the industry, but I am sure something could be worked out if you put your mind to it.

fuck this shit.
If the party didn't happen, give people their money back.

you fucked up. so did they for paying you.

^^^exactly! People do deserve their money back BUT I don;t think they should be surprised at the situation. I also think that most people knew the risks before buying a ticket therefore they should think twice about having a hissy fit

All it takes is an email sweetee and I would've did everything in my power to provide you with compensation. If someoen could not make a make up party, I've always given tickets to my next party, or even got them into other parties.
People that know me can all agree that I've always done that. That's why my my company is still around after 4 years =)

Yes exactly. I still have tickets for LOST PARADISE, by omega productions. :(
And on another note, i rather have a party get canceled and hope for a make up party. Cuz it is acceptable, this kinda shit happens. But i dont like it when i get to a party with a ticket and they say they are at capacity. Anyways thats water under the bridge. Party gets canceled, DEALE with it. Dont be so ignorent about it. And really, if they do have a make up party, AND you have tix for another party, thats ur problem. I dont think a promoter should ask every single ticket holder, if they have plans on a certain night. Like peppertre said, u win some, u loose some. choose ur parties wisely.

I wasn't saying that to dismiss the case lightly. This city's scene has a real problem. This is why it's rare to see me at an event.

Who cares its only 20 bucks, and why don't u wait and see if some kind of a makeup party is coming up or not. Heck all you've done is gone and comlain when the first thing has gone wrong.

You should wait to see if he has a way of reimbursment but if not your outta lu ck

im not saying we should dismiss the case. Obviously people go through a lot of trouble planning their weeknd. Hell ide get pissed off too, but like Nat and MANY MANY people have said before, its a chance ur taking. The only comment i didnt agree with, was when someone said what if i have ticket to another party on the night of the make up . . .

thats all. we do have MANY MANY problems here, and i dont like planning my evening and having to recolate at 3 am either, thats why i dont go to many events, unless i am 100% sure it will go down. Hence one of the reasons why i dont buy tix, until the day of.

How can you be 100% sure the party will go down?

I hate to say this, cause it sucks but if you want to guarantee an event will go down 100% go to a club

Then all you gotta worry about is whether the dj is gonna show up

That was my point. I was questioning Atlantix77 when he said he goes only to parties that he knows will go down 100%.

^ there called massives like spooky/dooms night this year, i.m.f all the old plaza shows.

They all go down 100% because they are all at legalized venues with the proper papers paid for and heavy and expensive licenses paid off.
