in a drunken stupor induced by michael moore, the lack of chronic & nunda's persistent reminder of that, we decided 2 test our knowledge of ww2 era instruments of war.

Well a B-52 isn't WW2, it's actually from the 50's as your little blurb pointed out. Besides, I'll own you all on knowledge about War. Funny you mention that as there was a P-51D in one of the Hangars for most of the Summer at work.
