yesterday was my FIRST and LAST trip to ikea.

All day i was telling people that i was going to ikea. I kept getting advice, warnings and generally what to expect. Evertime i mentioned it the person would automatically give me an ikea tutorial. This was an odd way start to say the least. When i went there i found brilliant maketing/product placement/showroom design but what it had in flash and dash it lacked in quality and practicality.

now here is the funny part.

Mike, Erin and I were running around trying/sitting/playing with all the stuff when we came to a 1000$++ couch. Mike sat on it, got up, only to find he was stuck to the couch! Somewhere along that crazy ikea tour he had aquired a huge wad of gum on his ass. Not only did it stick to that leather couch but it ground itself into his pants. He was pissed. Along the way Erin jumped into a bin of pillows for a quick ikea nap. When she decided to get out, she couldn't! We had a good laugh at her trying to get out. And not only that, the hot dog stand was closed when we got to it!....that was actually a huge reason we went there in the first place.
