I read a thread of yours that you were planning to visit eastern Africa later on this year.

I'm going to visit relatives and such in Ghana (west africa), but i'd like to visit other countries as well. I've met a few people from Tanzania who swear by the beautiful beaches and scenery.
Would you be interested in planning that part of your trip with me? Or you could do the whole thing with me.

Ghana: lowest HIV rates on the entire continent, and very stable political climate. it would be fun to travel with someone.

Dave: my grandma's the chief of her village. my aunt owns houses all over the country. make your trip a west african trip instead and we can visit senegal and set foot on Gore Island (the last part of the continent that slaves touched before they were shipped away)and walk through the "passage of no return".

You'll find that it's one of the most stable countries in Africa, with one of the strongest economies.
If you wait and travel in september instead of august ,you can save about 800 dollars on air fair alone.
