A domestic rabbit released into the wilds.... pretty sure it'd be a dead rabbit by now if not very soon.....

hmm.. obviously you dish out your 'weak' comments a little too easily as you apparently don't know the circumstances.

1) the rabbit was starving to death at my apartment because the person who brought it to my apartment (i.e. Erin) NEVER fed it. It is only alive today because i bothered to feed him once and a while.
2) there are other rabbits already living at Moli in a closed in fence area, there are no coyotes around that eat them.
3) it's just a fucking rabbit

Point is, I'm sick of dealing with irresponsible peoples bullshit cause I didn't want a rabbit, couldn't take care of the rabbit and nobody wanted it so it got set free.

My point is that if you commit to a pet you should take care of it and not just ditch it off to a death sentence. While there may not be coyotes a domesticated rabbit is hardly suited to the wild.

The comment that it's just a rabbit makes no sense whatsoever..... it's JUST a dog, it's JUST a cat, it's JUST a rabbit.... all the same if you ask me!

I completely agree, but at the same time I just dont' care that much. There were two choices from my view: a) the rabbit starves in his cage b) he at least has a chance in the "wild" as you call it (also know as the lawn in front of my work).

and to say i care as much about a rabbit as much as a more intelligent pet like a dog or cat would just be rubbish.

Um... the real problem here is that rabbits are territorial! The resident wild bunnies are gonna kick the shit outta that poor little domesticated rabbit. If he lives, he's gonna hafta figure out how to find food for himself. Damn... This happens way too often, especially where I used to live. :(

Re: Rabbit, if ever you find yourself with an unwanted pet I will always take them off your hands and find a home for it. I tried to steal this rabbit once and got caught :(
