Kraig and other Blackberry Owners...

So I've recently been given an offer I cannot refuse on a new phone. A Blackberry 7100r... quite the upgrade from my Nokia 3390.

What sort of plans do you guys have and what kind of Data Usage do you average? Just feeling out what sorta plan I might select.

Any other tips, tricks and info are most appreciated.

when i had the 7100r i had 1500 daytime minutes and unlimited everything, and unlimted data.

plan $120, extras $26 (i think), and the data was $60. total was approx $250 after taxes

But I ditch that berry, and i get them from Mailkey now, It's $1500 for 6months service, overseas servers, secure email, encrypted out the asshole.

1MB of data =

250 emails with approx 200 words/email
20 emails w/ attachments
10 webpages


As far as all providers go, data will get deducted from your plan even if you recieve an email and don't open it on your device.

I don't really get why people spend so much money on these if they're not using it for business.

Screw the internet plans.

I just got my bill for last month and I got charged $156 for 21Mb of 'Internet Anywhere' and $13.71 for US 1x data roaming access.

That was all I used to check emails.

But all the text messages I sent when I was in the US was free.

Now I know and will never use my phone browser again.
