Soo not going through this whole thread right now but theres a good article in National Geographic right now about hip hop culture. I don't really listen to that much hip hop but it was a pretty intresting read.

no. you'd have to be a complete idiot to want to be involved in the mob.

I don't know if you've noticed, but there is always a general theme to stories about mobsters.

They either die, go to jail, or become witness protection exiles- living a life of constant paranoia.

Mainsteam hip-hop (50 Cent) isn't just poison. It's pop. To say it's poison is to say all pop is poison, which is an idea I can get behind. But what does that have to do with Blackalicious or cLOUDDEAD, who don't kill people, demean women, or gay bash in their rhymes? Not all hip-hop is on MTV, Paula. Way to be relevant.
