I put Nas at #1 too personally. I think with these questions you really have to be more specific on what 'best' is. He might be the best storyteller. He's been consistently great (not the best at all times) for a long time. If you define best as most innovative and groundbreaking, then you could give it to Biggie. Most popular and consistent, could be Jay. Sickest flow, Rae?

I don't know if I'd say Rae has the sickest flow, I'd more classify him as the best story teller. Reason being is I would classify flow as being something where you get this perfect harmony of rhyme, lyrics and rhythm, and Rae hardly ever rhymes in his raps. Not saying he doesn't have a good flow, just saying there's rappers with better flow out there IMHO.

no disrespect to jay Z, his accomplishments speak for themselves, but purely as an MC he's far, far, FAR from the greatest of all time. Most of his best lines are lifted from other, greater MCs. Nas is better although i think it's stretch to call him the GOAT also. There's hundreds of better MCs out there, these guys just get more respect because they have the mass appeal. And no, i'm NOT into indy nerd rap at all. For example i'd say just about any member of the Wu is a better Mc than Nas or jigga.
