Scratch mixers.. which is the best?

I told my co-worker who's loooking for one.

Vestax or techs

Other names have gone around: Rane, Allen & Heath, Numark

Im not a scratch dj so he's asking the wrong guy.

Vestax has lost the title for king of the scratch mixer years ago and Techics had a major issue with crossfader life (although the new technics mixer has an optical fader).

I would have to say the Rane ttm56 has a great cut and is obviously going to hold up for years and years.

I own a 909 which is loaded with effects and also has a quick cut but its alot of money and unless you plan on using the effects its basically just a high quality scratch mixer.

I would say Rane TTM56, i've played with one before at Tom lee and it is very nice and well built in my opinion. I would also give some credit to the ecler hak360. I've never tried one but there other mixers are very very nice. I think Akeel has a hak360.
