I think circumcision is a purely religious act. We humans are born in the most 'optimized' form that is needed to help us survive in this world. So why modify our body parts to be something else when we are already born to be ready for the world the way we are?
Honestly, you're all arguing about a fad. The circumcision fad. It's nothing more than a nice label that people are using to cover up the direct definition of the whole act (which sounds like a stupid body modification if you call it 'cutting off a penis' foreskin').

Seems like the only people upset by circumcision are the uncircumcised.
I don't know a single person who is upset that they are circumcised, or who would call it mutilation. As far as its being unnatural I'd say antibiotics aren't exactly natural either, yet we pop them like there's no tommorow.

people who don't take care of themselves, to the point that they get sores or infections, are never going to be fun to have sex with - circumcised or no. and as for the cut dick looking better... well i guess it just depends what you're used to. i'm sure if all you'd ever seen was un-cut and then you saw a circumcised person, you'd probably be a little put off by the appearance.
my thoughts are that we have all our body parts for a reason, so i wouldn't be too quick to go chopping parts off just because somebody thousands of years ago decided it would be a neat thing to do. or because a few members of the opposite sex are squeamish about putting it in their orifices.

btw, anybody remember reading a dan savage column a few months back where some guy had a botched circumcision as a baby that caused him to experience extreme pain as an adult whenever he got an erection? he was unable to have an orgasm because it was too painful to stimulate his erection.
now this is one guy in millions, but i'm sure he's not the only case. would you even want to take the slimmest chance of doing that to your child? what is so bad about a foreskin that's worth taking that chance?
