my moms meeting her birth sister!
this is so exciting.
ok my family could be on oprah...seriously. this is really cool.... listen up: my dads mom slept with this man nick, and became pregnant with him...but never married him...nick went on to meet another woman, sheila and marry her... my dad never got to meet his dad... anyways...after nick passed away my dad got a letter in the mail with the newspaper clipping announcing his passing from my grandma...my dad contacted sheila...sheila couldnt beleive it...she was never told that nick had another son out there...so she didnt know what to do, but apparently her friends all knew so they confirmed it. so two years ago we went to toronto to meet my dads other family...turns out he has two half sisters and a half brother...his half brother looks EXACTLY like my dad...but with no moustache..and a lot skinnier...its nuts! now fer my mom: my moms mother, jeannie ended up having four children...she gave away three of them, graeme, alice and my mom. alice was the oldest...and she lived in scotland, when jeannie was pregnant with my mom she came to vancouver, ended up having my mom and kept her for two years... then for some reason she decided to give my mom up...so her and alice went back to scotland....she told alice that my mom had died from cancer... so alice thought that her sister was dead. then she gave up alice...and then had a son...and gave him up....the fourth son she kept. my mom was adopted by two of the most wonderful people in the world...my grandparents...but she always had the feeling that she had siblings...or at least a sister.. so a couple of years back she started searching for her mom...and got very little information on her...about a year ago they gave her the news that they found her brother, graeme, he lived in edmonton, so my mom got in contact with graeme and we all flew to edmonton last summer to meet him and his family. then my mom got really serious about finding her sister...she went on every kind of adoption website you could think of...she met this lady over the net from around france who was determined to help my mom find her sister...so somehow she eventually found alice...and sent her an email saying that she found kim (my mom) and alice was stunned... my mom and alice exchanged a couple of emails and it turns out that they were sisters...they were given all the same info about their mother and their brief childhood together. alice lives in scotland. so on saturday alice is finally flying down to canada to meet my mom, who she thought for 46 years had passed away!! cool eh?!? im so fucking excited its weird to think that my mom has a sister...i dunno, when she met graeme it felt normal...cause she's always had a brother (who is also adopted) but to think she has a sister...from SCOTLAND is just fucking crazy. im almost in tears right now... my moms being trying the hardest to find her sister more then anyone!! oh some weird things about this: 1. my dad used to work with nicks brother (my dads uncle) and never knew it. 2. graeme's brother (my moms half brother) used to live about four streets down from where i live now...while we lived here!!! so ya i just thought i'd share that.

ya im so fucking excited for my mom alice...my moms sister...found her brother (graeme) and my mom within a week...imagine how shes feeling!! omg. and my dads gonna fly my mom and her sister out to edmonton to have a total family reunion!

heeheehee, I knew about most of this.. but readin the whole thing.. DAMN girls your mom and dad are one lucky ppl to meet thiere actuall family cause my mom and aunt have been lookin for thier dad but could never find him.. then they found out he was dead some how.. or osmething.. err.. yeha!!
