The office I work in is family owned. My boss and his wife are in the same room as me basically all day everyday and they are totally nice people to be around.

This like 40 year old guy that works for Purolator comes in everyday to drop off stuff. He usually talks to everyone and just makes small talk but well TODAY nobody was in our office but me and he comes in here all hitting on me and gives me his email address!!

UM HELLO. It's so out of line and wrong that it makes my stomache turn. PUKE!!

Immediately after my boss and wife came back into the office I told them about it and they were as shocked as me and say they intend to talk to him about it.

In any other situation I would have been totally rude but this guy comes in here every day and is mutually aquainted with the people I work for so I couldn't just call him on it.

I am SO grossed out. I wish I never had to see him again. EW!

K - I agree that work place relationships are wrong.

But unless he said, "can I look at your crotch?", then he wasn't being entirely inappropriate. Nor is someone who has never hit on you before and who asks you out once.

A lady would have politely turned him down and that would have been the end of it.

he has hit on me before but not as directly and it was infront of my boss so I mostly figured it was nothing. I know he would never be that forward in front of the people I work for.

And like I said.. in any other situation I would immediately have spoken my mind about the sitch.. but this has never happend to me in a workplace before. I was a little stunned.

1) I have his email address written by him on a purolator slip thing.

2) he always made me feel uncomfortable... I prettymuch ignroed it because it was just annoying for 5 minutes of my day but not really problem like it is now.

I would just make it VERY clear on my own that I wasn't interested. I am sure he would take the hint on his own.

When I worked at a hotel - I ALWAYS had older corporate guests tell me to come up for a drink after work (11pm) I just said no thank you! And that was it.

when you are 40 and the girl you want to talk to is 19.. you should not only be too scared to do it but you shouldn't even think about it in the first place.

I have a hard time looking at it as trivial and innocent when a 40 year old man wants a 19 year old to have his email address.

How many females do you see that look their age? I have seen pictures of Ms. Tarantula, and there are times when she doesn't look 19.

Moreover - he could be 30 and she could be exaggerating about his age. If small talk is all that has been made, I doubt age has come up.
