Right Brain vs Left Brain.

I'm sure you've seen this, I thought it was bullshit until 2 mins ago when I saw it again and it was spinning counter clockwise for the first time.

The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

I'm right too.

I TRIED reversing the direction (sat there looking at it for a good 10 mins), but I just couldn't do it. Not even if my life depended on it. For me it ONLY spins clockwise for some reason, lol.

I looked into this a bit more because I didn't fully agree with being right brain dominant, and I found a much more accurate test on this subject:

[I got much better results using the above test than the spinning dancer one. I KNEW I was a tiny by more left brain dominated (for how I DO things in life), and right brain driven (for how I LIVE life... my living style)]

my manager showed me this today. I see both, but sometimes I see the chick switch back and forth constantly.

I was able to see it go both ways. theres a trick to it, you just need to focus on certain body parts as they contain hints that tell your brain which direction she is turning.

when it was spinning anti-clockwise, I just focused on the bottom foot then it made her spin clockwise. after that it was easy.

It always starts clockwise then switches to counter for me. This phenomena is actually weirder with the "split-brain" experiments that psychologists did. I saw a documentary once where someone had this split-brain and when shown a picture on one side they couldn't see what it was but were able to draw it and vice versa.

A patient with a split brain, when shown an image in his or her left visual field (the left half of what each eye sees), will be unable to name what he or she has seen. This is because the speech control center is in the left side of the brain in most people and the image from the left visual field is sent only to the right side of the brain. Since the two sides of the brain cannot communicate, the patient cannot name what he or she is seeing. The person can, however, pick up a corresponding object (one within the left overall visual field) with their left hand, since that hand is controlled by the right side of their brain.

I think the idea was that it's indicating them, not determining them.

But yeah I'm skeptical too.

I am definitely the right side of the brain,I can see both though and can switch to either one whenever I want. I think that's pretty need and the right side definitely describes to me how I am.

strange, i looked at it last night and it was going clockwise, but now it's going counter clockwise. I bet it's from using too many of that pesky left brain doing redundant tasks at work all day :P

i only see clockwise so far. which is strange, because i generally think of myself as pretty left-brained.

but yeah, kinda skeptical too. but then i know the person that animated this had to choose a direction to rotate the figure. it can't be both, has to be one or the other. so maybe i'm thinking about it too much, haha.

for a very short moment after looking away i was able to see it clockwise tho, but after looking away and looking back, wasn't able to see it clockwise again anymore
