my parents have such a steriotipical view of what a rave is they think it is th most dangerious place in the world....... when in my oppinion a rave is the safest place in the world ............ due to this fact they often dont lt me go to the raves what can i do...***besides not telling them and just goin....

Not reccomending you lie to your parents......but when i was 17 i used to tell them i was going "camping" . Packed the tent and sleeping bags up etc. etc.

Regret it now, but it worked like a charm. My mom used to buy flats of water for our "camping trip" too..............

haha i told my mom straight up it was a rave
she doesnt approve i do it but i sat her down and told her i came to her to tell her it was a rave cuz without her premission i would have gone anyways and she would have been dissapointed in the end anyways
i started when i was 15 so its kinda different
but just be straight up
sit down and talk to them
it can go either way but i think in the end theyll respect u more for talking to them and let u go

My parents seem to have a problem with the word "RAVE" as well.
So I told them exactly what they are, minus the word rave.
My advice: try to be as honest as u can...

Tell them you are going to be going with a bunch of your older friends, and explain to them that there is always a lot of security & police around making sure that everyone is safe.

Maybe introduce a couple of your more responsible party friends to them...

They're doing it for your own good!

Raves are dangerous, and it's incredibly naieve for you to consider them the 'safest place in the world', maybe they'll let you go if you ditch that attitude- ditch the 'everything with raving is perfect and fun!' attitude and accept the fact that there are dangers and risks involved- but you are willing to be responsible. Perhaps then your parents would take you more seriously.

My mom was a little scared when I went to my first rave, all parents know about them is what they hear on TV and all that TV tells them is the bad stuff. I came home in one piece and explained to her what they were about and everything. She doesnt care at all now, she likes that I go out on weekends and have fun. All u have to do is be honest, and let them know they can trust u to use good judgement. Tell them where your going, where its located, when you are going to be home and keep in contact with them just so they know your doing okay

no matter wut u say.. ima goto a rave.. even if u ground me i'll eventually go... there is tight secruity.. u get searched very very very well b4 entering ... its jus a place where i can go have fun listen to music i like and chill w/ my friends.. its not like i can goto clubs becuz i am underage.. so this is jus like a place where ppl go.... plus whoever does drugs its their choice to fuk up their lives.. i dont wanna fuk up mine.. :) .. jus tell them all the good shit bout raves.. leaveout the bad shit.. tell them their safe.. and tell them cops r there!

i hate alot of ppl.. including myself.. :) dun take it as offence.. alot of shit is happening in my life rite now that i cant deal w/... i needa smoke a joitn its been like since sunday.. and depression is hitting me hard.. so sorry bout everything
