yea but how do you really know? i wouldnt expect someone with the mental capabilities of a 10 year old to know anything about sex.. example: i had a business class in college with a somewhat mentally challenged guy in the same class (he had a helper or something). well one day we had to do improv 5 minute presentations based on a subject we pulled out of a hat (subjects in hat were submitted by students) well this guys turn came up, and his subject was "sex". Anyways it was pretty damn funny and the whole class was trying not to burst out laughing.. although i kinda felt bad for the guy. among the things he said were that "oral sex is when two people kiss", and other stuff that i cant really remember, but he wasnt exactly sure what sex was. Needless to say, he wouldnt know where to stick if given the chance.

Kelster I agree with you in the fact almost everyone has sex; however, some are never fortunate enough to experience such wonderful things in life. Whether that be sight, movement, the ability to talk, walk and yes even sex. This is where I think this thread has taken some flames.

When I first read this thread I didn't care to post as I wasn't' completely sure of my side, reading over I think the same discretion should have been taken with some of the replies.

It's true there is a market for almost any p0rn imaginable (didn't someone die from a horse awhile back). Some are just too horrid/rare to be able to find on Google, an example would be child pornography. Down-syndrom would fall into that same category.

Both points aside, very interesting thread to say the least.

Anyways never underestimate the way someone looks. A young lady who is only a year older than me is going around giving great speaches about her life. She's traveled around the world, 2 years with her bf, been through capp college and now studying part time at ubc. Anyways she was born with an extra chromosone, therefore diagnosed with down syndrome. Things take longer for her to understand and learn, or she learns diffrently than how "society" does, BUT SHE CAN LEARN WHAT EVERY OTHER PERSON DOES. Ppl with down syndrome are not always in the mind of a 10 year old. Maybe a bit nieve... but many of them do have sexual lifes, bf's, gf's, wifes and husdbans.

I the reason why it doesn't exist (at least in the open) is because people might argue, that people with DS might not make the best judgement in consenting for porn. Then whoever decided to produce the porn in the first place would be in trouble.
