I used to play about on there. Not looking for love, just trouble. Just watch out for the people who are in the Intimate Incounters section - they are sex fiends looking for people to cheat on their spouses with. (well maybe thats what you want - I certainly didnt. I was so mad at some of the people that messaged me that I called a few of their significant others and then I cancelled my account.)

I know a guy in Vancouver who uses it and it works well for him. He's in his 30's. Actually has 2 or 3 GF's on the go at once. I've seen him get screamed at by one jealous GF who then took his cell phone, called all the other GFs, and threw the phone in the lake.

Another guy I know also uses LavaLife - he got divorced 2 or 3 years ago cuz he wants more variety. Has had a few relationships from LL.

Basically everyone is just messing around. It's a meat market. Too much hassle for me though - who wants to be in a soap opera?

Its all basically free. You create a profile, look around at others profiles. and send smilie faces....if you get one in return. thats when it will start to cost a little. You need to buy credits to send a message....youre best bet would be to buy the credits, and then give them your msn contact, that way you dont spend a crap load of cash.....have fun!!
