I think that if a female has an unwanted pregnancy that abortions are the rite thing to do. I know in some cultures or religions that it's not allowed, but a woman should b able abort a pregnancy if she feels she will not b able to fullfill the role of a good mother or even if there are other things in her life that would make having a child a really difficult thing to do...many factors i suppose, but n e ways I'm all for it.

Im pro choice, although i was brought up in a pro life home.
I think its wrong when women use abortion as a form of birth control. If your going to have sex make sure you are using birth control and using condoms as well, be it male or female condoms OR BOTH.

Pro choice for sure, alot of it depends on the circumstances though, if a girl is a fuck up and cant use proper birth control then i would seriouly hope shed think something like this threw but if a girl is a rape victom i think she should totally be allowed to have one.

One Hundread percent pro choice. I know of two people who are having kids, one is my age 20 and the other is my brother's age, 18. It makes me sick because i know these girls arent ready for kids, they just started having sex, and werent even mature enough about having sex to USE protection.

Seriously, put on a condom or be women enough to say maybe im not ready to bring a child into this world because im still a child myself.

A baby is not love its a life...abortions may not be the easiest thing but sometimes its needed.

this is a very touchy subject. i am PRO choice but i personally wouldn't be able to go through with an abortion unless the pregnancy posed health risks. the way i see it is if you are mature enough to have sex, then you should be ready for the risks and responsibilities that go along with it. granted there are certain circumstances when a pregnancy cannot be prevented and in those cases if neither one of the partners is able to take care of a baby, i think it's better to have the baby and put it up for adoption (at least give it a chance at life). also, i believe that if a decision has to be made, both partners have an equal amount of say in what happens.

with all that being said, i have had a baby and although i was a little younger than i had hoped i'd be, i don't regret it at all. i love my son more than anything and i'm glad he's a part of my life.

yes i would consider giving up the child before i killed it. To me abortions is just another form of murder. It is a child and just because it isn't fully matured doesn't me it isn't killing it. For the most part i would think that people who are having abortions can't afford or take care of a child, to me thats just not cool. If you are old enough to have sex, then you are old enough to take responsibility of what is yours. Rape or insest is about the only "valid" agruement that i can see people bringing up, and have, on this thread.

It's better than back in the day when girls used to die from trying to do it themselves. Yes you are still killing a baby but women should still have the right. I doubt I could ever have one but I guess it all depends on the circumstances. the only thing that really makes me sick is women who use it as a birth control. That's just fucked.

i agree with that but they always have adoptions. Killing yourself trying to abort was probably more of an issue a few hundred years ago, not saying thats its not an issue, but we have better tech/meds to help. Course i am not a doctor or a women's study major so i dunno.

What do you mean they always have abortions? Few hundred years ago? Umm try it was still happening in the 50's and 60's before abortions became legal. Girls doing it themsleves wasn't the only problem, going to back alley sketchy "doctors" was too. Haven't you ever seen the movie Dirty Dancing or The Cider House Rules?

U could think of abortions as killing a living person, but what if a young mother did have a baby and couldn't support it, what if she wasn't ready to have a baby and she was resentful towards the child. Which do u think is better, allowing the child to be poorly raised by a mother that sees the child as a mistake or saving both the mother and the child from that knda situation by getting an abortion?

here's something to think about:

1. for those of you who are down with abortions, why is the thought of adoption non-existent? i can understand how some people say that they cannot give the child the life it deserves, so why not give it up for adoption so that it has a chance at life. don't you believe that the child deserves at least that much? what if your parents had the opportunity to turn back time and made the choice to have an abortion rather than having you, are you telling me that that wouldn't bother you?

2. for those of you who are completely against abortions, how would you respond in a situation where there are health risks involved? like if the mother could possibly die as a result of the pregnancy or birth.

so like i said before, i don't completely agree with abortions, however, there are certain circumstances where an abortion should be an option.

i said adoptions, if in the majority of canada they have health care and can go to a doctor, have a kid and put it up for adoption. It sounds cold but i am sure death from abortion doesn't happen much nowadays. And yes i saw both movies, but from your earlier post it wasn't clear as to what you were thinking for a time period. As for jen-e-03, they can have an adoption. Lots of parrents look for adoptions each year and its not ( IN MY MIND ) the worst thing in the world. Should they keep the kid its up to them.
