breaking the news...

Ok, so I got the greatest job opportunity...however it requires me moving...away. Now, I'm totally up for moving, as it's a great experience. Life's too short to be stuck in one place forever right? However, I'm soooo close with my mom & dad....how do you break it to them that you might move away!? AHHH, I don't wanna do it! Anyone been in this situation!?

but yeah..i'm sure that if u explain to them about the job..or about how u want the job bcuz its a great opportunity and u'd be doin wut u liked..they'd give u sum input on wut they thought..then when u announce that u've been offered the job and that u are gonna take it..they hopefully would be very supportive of u..cuz they know wut doin wut u wanna do..they gotta let u go totally off on ur own sumtime rite?..good luck hun!

Well I broke it to them yesterday about the job!

Then they questioned whether I would just stay somewhere in that city during the week for work & come back home for the weekends!

Then I had to break it to them about actually MOVING....

...ya parents are happy for ya, but OOH...you can tell it hurts to hear that your only kid is moving away! ahhh....so hard!

I'm sure it hurts to hear their kid is moving away, but at least it's close! If it's close enough that they suggested you live there during the week and come home on weekends, then you could just drop by and visit anytime without it being a big huge thing with like a plane trip half way across the country or something!!

Thanks hun! Yeah it totally won't be a big deal coming back on weekends! I won't be leaving till the New Year though...but that still seems quite soon.

i am sure your parents were not to devastated w/ the news.
they are big people and will do fine w/o you, just think now they can be as loud as they want and not have to worry about you hearing them.
