Living with Diabetes for 10 yrs.. Hard :(

As i get older it seems harder and harder to control becuz i have full control over my body all the time.
when i first got it and even into 5,6,and 7 years i still had good control
but now my parents cant keep me on any strict diet, and do all the other things to keep healthy.
Not onlee do i have stress with life in general, diabetes effects you in such a way, i could onlee imagine :(
Most people dont know what diabetes really is, most ppl just know its to do with sugars.
If u are at all interested look into it, u'd actually understand!
i guess i am happy however, that i dont have cancer or something worse.

sorry, just had to get that out or sumthing:AZN:

wow i never knew
but hey we both in dis together right
ive been a diabetic for 10 years too
no joke
im on this new diet thing where i can eat anytime i want
but the thing is everytime i eat i have to take a shot
go ask your doctor about humalog and the humapen
im on it right now
and u dont need to excersise
u take insulin right?
im on R and NPH
what i do is replace the R with humalog(its an insulin)
and take NPH in the morning and when i got to bed
at every meal of snack i take humalog only
what is does is it elimanates the carbs that i take in so that my blood sugar stays normal
but hey i no how u feel im on that same boat
dont worry just live life to the fullest

Hey Frances, I don't have diabetes myself, but one of my room-mates last year had it. I can't remember the various types, I know that he developed it around 14 or so, and has to take 3 or 4 shots a day. Don't let it get you down though! Just be thankful for what you already have! Think of the shots just like multi-vitamins (which you *are* taking once a day I hope!). :Somatic:

Just remember to live life for what is, and not what isn't.
