Yeah, those rules exist. Don't fuck up the food chain (IE people who give you money are off limits) and don't fuck with crew.

You don't have to follow those rules if you don't want to, but it'll lead to problems if you don't.

I think it's weird.
If it had been a long time and I was completely over the guy I think it would be ok because | wouldn't want two people to miss out on a chance of happiness just because of some stupid rule. It is hard to find the perfect match and if that match happens to be someone I got with years back I wouldn't want that to get in the way of love, or at least a chance of it.

Well it's different for certain people. I would rather see a high school sweetheart, from 10 years ago, go out with a friend of mine I highly respected rather then with someone shitty. But obviously doing that sorta thing right after the breakup probably isn't good for the friendship lol.
