The old bed at my parents house used to squeek like mad, but when I moved out, I tossed the old frame and just had my futon mattress on the floor. After that I realized that a bed is way more comfy on the floor with no head board, just a bunch of pillows behind it and no frame to squeek
Plus if I;'m really drunk and fall out of bed, it's only like a 5 inch fall.


And yes, squeeky beds annoy me!!!

My ex's headboard wasn't properly connected to the frame so it'd rock a lot...so his little buddha statues (that sat on the shelf that's part of the headboard) would often fall onto me when we were having sex.

It did serve for a few good laughs tho since the buddha's were doing the see no evil, hear no evil & speak no evil hand gestures. :)

broken two beds in my time - neither time did we stop. i dont think i've ever actually listened for the squeak of a bed. if it was a matter of wether or not someone outside the bedroom would hear it - do it on the floor, the dresser, up a against a wall...
