Moving on...

:Kimmie: Do you guys agree with the saying" Out of sight out of mind"? At first i did...but then i thought about pictures and pictures bring back real powerful memories...it's so sad..looking back at the old times...happy times...so hard to move on with these visions embeded in the mind...memories...
Is this phrase also true? " It takes someone else for you to forget another?" Does that mean people who want to be single will be forever remembering the last partner? :288: That's a scary thought... :Power-P:

umm ... if you're looking at pictures, then it's not out of sight now is it? there's too many things out there that are constant reminders of memories ... like [here's a wonderful example] watching a porno, and they're doin' it a certain way, that might remind you of some raunchy sex you had with someone, then u start thinking about them and rarara ...

" It takes someone else for you to forget another?"
i don't agree with that ... it's phrases like that, that land people in rebound situations. you're just fooling yourself and blinding your emotions

i don't think it's so much.. "outta site outta mind" as it is "outta site, back of mind"

cause when you don't see someone for a while [say y our ex] it's like ya y'know, i'm over him.. it's all good...
then you say you bump into them on the street or something and all this shit just comes back.. and ya..
your not really over someone till y ou can see them face to face and feel that you are...
at least i think so... [but all situations are different so i dunno]

and i don't agree with "it takes someone else to forget another"
cause that's just dumb..
that'll just make ppl think that they need a new relationship to get over their old one. rebound. psh.. bullshit..
it's just gonn ahurt em over and over and it's not a good idea..

:288: ...LOL @ "porno example" !!! Ok but I just don't mean exes and stuff...I mean like old friends that you parted from...I mean it's so sad knowing that things will never be the same again..like there's a connection that's lost...Ya I guess that saying is kinda retarded.."Find someone to forget someone else"...whoever believes that must be really DESPERATE!!...*IRK* THERE! that's my 2 cents for the day :211:

Babyfyne,

Ya, that is a good question. Hmm. If I fall for a friend and my attitude around them changes. Is that wrong or right? She wants to remain friends, but Im a bit bitter. Thats aloud right?

I dont know, sometimes when your going after a friend. The stuff u do with them could be considered as courtship.
