nanaimo is a hard market as it is to throw electronic nights....
I personally have never heard of this night before.... Who is throwing it? Where is the promotion? And just a heads up...not to be a dick or anything.... But the sound system for the Jungle is completely terrible. You would have a better sound system out of a ghetto-blaster. In all honesty, if you contact the PRESS ROOM NIGHTCLUB...you could probably get a good night, with a decent sound system....and maybe even a crowd. Again, i'm not trying to be a dick....but i guarantee you less than 20 people both nights without proper promotion and a good club... matt@Dizzy productions ps-...Never...NEVER charge more than $6 on any clubnight...people from nanaimo will laugh at you....unless you have Capital J or Jazzy Jeff headlining.

i think that this night has alot of potential. yes, it must be dificult to get an electronica night going in nanaimo, but with a steady vancouver presence, it should bring something defanitly new to the table josh k. NNP!/Evolve/Lastwerd.

ya for cover, i didnt really know what to price it at, so i just kept it close to the prices that the owner said he usually charges. ill look more into that... lol and as for nanaimo, ya i was born there and grew up there. i know alot of people that will come out to the bar based on the fact that i am promoting it, and i will show them up with the music! i know the 'rave' scene on the island isnt huge and that the jungle in thier minds isnt the "best" place to go, but no place in nanaimo is! im gonna try it out, i might as well. i feel good about it. i am marketing to people out of the scene too. The people i grew up with. and our night is going to incorporate alot of hip hop, because that is nanaimo. breaks and hip hop. AND we want to get break dancing going. i have been to events in nanaimo when i used to live there, and their are alot of breakers in hiding. its gonna be like a reunion for me, but.. with a whole new experience.. business wise. im not really worried.
