alla everyones has their opinions.........you've clearly been there more than me.......i didn't go every weekend for 5 months in a row! i just honestly think that john does a great job......and its not the promotion thats the problem. but i'm judging by word of mouth here(i've only hung out with him once) :) apparently he's the automatic of the island though, according to other promoters and djs.....hahaha

but still, i've heard of a lot of dnb club nights that go off in vic just as i've heard of a lot of dnb club nights that are dead.

John rocks!

Victoria's population is smaller then Vancouver, so obviously their scene is too.
Raves do good there cuz they arn't as far out as vic and have many genres of music.

But John Whitebird rocks, he supports the dnb community alot!
Brings so many headliners regardless of it being packed or not.
He is the reason alot of dnb acts come to Van. He offers them to all of us promoters here!

1st of - John is different person from who i'm talking about. And Jungle Room doesnt only do DnB shows, they also do quite a bit of Breaks show.
I personally don't recall him doing any shows in last couple or few years in vancouver, which brought thousands of people.
Well personally, good promotion includes emails and posts on forums regarding shows. One night i went to jungle room and they asked to pay 15$ @ door, i asked WHY? lol, but then cause Malante was playing. i didn't hear about it anywhere, and knowing the fact i'll be in Victoria, i never saw any promotions online, even on ravevictoria website, nor on clubvibes or clubzone...
another things is I never said he was rude or didn't say hello.


So what shows did u get to go in victoria? i just wonder...?

definetely true my friend . . . 2 years ago. Whitebird Records & Clothing have Shaped up the Drum and Bass scene equal to vancouver (IMO) with Subfocus (Ram Records) on march 16th and Pendulum (Breakbeat Kaos) March 19th and close around the bend is Dj Friction (Shogun Audio) April 1st not to mention other goods cooking in the cauldron as well.

The Shows nowadays always sell out and the partiers are always worn out . . . . . definetely worth the trip
