All I can say is WOW!
The first time I caught Maximo Park playing was nearly two years ago opening for The Bravery. I had no idea who they were at the time; but I was immediately a fan of their after the live performance.
Their latest album is just as brilliant as the first one.
So few bands come out with a distinct sound now a days. They have IT.
The arrangements in every track are absolutely spot on. Some of the lyrics may come off as a wee bit pretentious like an art fag preaching in a coffee house but they're just so well written it's easily forgotten.
They'll be playing Richards on July 23rd.
I suggest you grab yourself a copy and do your best to check out their show.
