so I'm loading some music on my mp3 player for the drive to Shambhala and I want some really good classic rock. the hip hop, electronic, and what not is nice to get away from on the drive.

There were some tracks that they made after dark side of the moon that is pretty good... The rest were to 80'ish (given the era when they were made) and didn't sound like anything that many of us know them for. But if you ever listened to the material when Syd Barrett was still with the band it was nothing close to anything they produced on "the wall" or "dark side of the moon".

Money is actually a really unique piece that they made because the time signature on the beat. Really it wasn't your ordinary rythm that other rock groups at the time was able to write at all. This of course made it very catchy to some people and to others it would cause a little bit of confusion.

i just think that its way overhyped when 90% of their other music before hand was alot more creative.
i think the main reason people like it is cause you dont need to be able to comprehend the lyrics like all their other stuff. the lyrics are made for people who cant even read in money. where as most people dont even like hey you cause it doesnt make any sense to them
