Korn Guitarist Finds God, Leaves Band

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch has parted ways with the hard rock act, citing a recent religious awakening.

Welch broke the news Sunday on Bakersfield, Calif., station KRAB-FM.



"I had it in my heart to come here and explain to you," Welch said. "I'm good friends with Korn. I love those guys, and they love me, and they're very happy for me."

Addressing the aggressive tone of the music he made with Korn, Welch said, "Anger is a good thing, and if kids want to listen to Korn, good, but there's happiness after the anger. I'm going to show it through my actions how much I love my fans."

well its going to be a loss but its good that there still going to release thier 8th album but then again its really his decision and its good he has found something in his life that gives him peace i hope korn will still continue which i think they will but then they have been with each other for awhile so then it might be weird for them to get a new guitarist

Im just glad i got to see them live way back on the follow the leader tour, man that was a kick ass show! you never know tho, a new lead guitarist could really open up new door's for korn and give them an awsome new sound, im kinda exited to see how this turn's out, im sure they'll put in the time to find the right guy for the job.

They're first album was good, the second was not bad either. the third was alright. and everything after that, was not worth listening to.
I think it was they're 5th album. They released it, and took it back with in a month because "it sucked".
