Killswitch engage
hatebread
mudvayne
slayer
supultura
shadowsfall

All big on these metal bands
I thought dillinger was more of a hardcore band, i like them alot too.

I also like Chimaira, soulfly, in flames, lamb of god, etc. My buddy is the ultimate metal head, can shred the guitar like non-other. I went to the slayer/soulfly concert a few years back, was unbelievable. Max cavelera can belt it out live exactly like on CD.

I don't know if you guys have ever listened to Michael Bolton on PCP and NyQuil but it sounds an awful lot like Slayer.

No seriously, there aren't nearly enough Metal bands out there getting air play. I mean you have System of a down or Pantera and a few others that are exposed widely but for the most part, it's hard to find a good metal show now a days, outside of the Cobalt or the Brickyard. Oh well, fight the power and rock on, I suppose.........

the impossibility of reason by chimaira was a good cd awesome double bass, fast guitars and the raging vocals, but thier new cd has that more new metal sound that i'm not quite as fond of. when pantera came i was wayy to young to even think of going but i wish somehow i could see them live, my brother went and rubs it in my face everytime i listen to them. soulflys extreme ragga dub mix for the song quilombo kind of ruined them for me though, but max cavelera is so talented.

Chimaira's first efforts as a band had a lot more synthesized sounds, impossibility of reason was fuckin sick, way more raw. I forgot about the new chimaira cd being out, gonna peep it soon. I don't keep up to date with metal as much anymore as when i was hanging out with the old SEMI crew. I'm more focused on dnb, breaks, hip hop now but i always give the metal, punk, classic rock a listen here and there. I'm gonna hit up some shows with some buddies in the near future though.

when i was at SEMI no one listened to metal, they were all about the gun-it and there were a few random emo/goth kids, it was weak. fear factory should be good tommarow night though

Yeh but at least when jonathan davis expressed emotion in his songs he would go psycho and cry while screaming like a lunatic. Good charlette and simple plan are fake ass fuckwads. No raw energy or anything, just make-up and whiny lyrics.

i've never been a fan of speed metal. metallica were cool before the 90s.

the only metal i've been digging mostly has been art metal (tool, apc) and punk metal (wednesday 13, murderdolls)

no because i went to kick it the previous night and went to the show on 3 hours of sleep and got super duper drunk. the fact that it was all ages sucked because all the little posers pissed me off. anything is good when your drunk.
