B and C....... As we find ourselves stepping into 2007, we’re desperately looking for what follows Z... At only 26, Sander, the once ‘boy next door’ from Eindhoven in Amsterdam has the world literally at his feet. 2006 was phenomenal year for Sander; a year that saw him accomplish things only dreams are made of. He’s an artist in a league of his own; he is the man who’s got it all. Despite his phenomenal success, Sander remains practically unaffected by his achievements. Whether he’s releasing a new track, playing to 500 or 50,000, his only concern is to ensure his audience is receiving and enjoying what he does. There is nothing superstar about the man himself, yet his work throughout the past 18 months have earned him that status. He’s risen through the ranks, and whilst doing so has taken a big bite at re-shaping ‘trance’ as we know it. Once a follower, Van Doorn is now a leader. Sander’s highlights of 2006 are just too extensive to mention here so, we’ll bullet point the best of them. · Sander debuts in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll at #32 · Sander makes 3 appearances on BBC Radio 1 · Sander remixes the Arctic Monkey’s smash “When The Sun Goes Down” and is labelled an anthem within days · Rising 129 places to #7 in Tranceaddicts DJ Chart · Compiles and mixes the Dance Valley 2006 CD · Mixes Mixmag’s first cover mount CD of 2007 The work has only just begun........ 2007 will be the year of Van Doorn. Endless time spent in the studio during the latter part of 2006 has enabled Sander to produce 3 brand new killer tracks, which over October, November and December have been have been tried and tested the world over. i got around to getting my ticket today. =)
& i'm VERY much so looking forward to this gig! ... definately more so than i've been for van buuren's 2 recent gigs & what not, to be honest. =P but jeeesus muuurphy! there's gunna be some MAJOR tech-trance beat'ey goodness oozing out of cyber during this night. i'm truly getting chills just thinking about how stellar it's gunna sound! :nuts: heh...i got incredibly excited earlier on when i found out about this gig.:embarrest: (... but not as excited as atb though. but NOTHING will EVER top that. :P i still remember how much i freaked the fuck out. :P) |
