If you have been to a club or listening to dance music, you probably have not been able to escape Freeform Five, as their hits "Electromagnetic" and "No More Conversations" have been rocking dancefloors worldwide in the last 2 years, getting played by almost every DJ in every genre around.

Since the late 90s, Freeform Five have been exciting part of the electronic music scene. They got everyone's attention with their amazing remix of Isolee's 'Beau Mot Plage' , turning it from a minimal techno gem into Brazilian-acid-funk-Key-Of-Life house must-have. As the multi-instrumentalist and chief songwriter of this four member band, Anu Pillai is a man passionate about his music. Anu's DJ sets are musically rich, and far from those who just play Phonica’s top 10 records of the month. His sets jump from the neo-disco of Lindstrom to the punk-funk of debut Perspex signing, The Subliminal Kid .

After several years of making great records for Chicago legend Derrick Carter 's Classic Music label and remixing everyone from NERD to Brian Wilson , he branched out in 2005 with Freeform Five's debut artist album, 'Strangest Things' . It's an inspired mix of Prince, Blondie and Kraftwerk (thrown into the acid house blender) and is quoted as 'Electrodiscopop perfection' (Arena) and 'Brash, neon uber-pop. A huge hit (NME). The signs are that his pan-genre DJ'ing has struck a similar chord with the hippest crowds in Europe and further afield too. 2006 has seen Anu’s remixes/reforms in serious demand with Justin Timberlake and The Killers already in the bag and Snow Patrol and Scissor Sisters to be follow later in the year.
