Grabbing some tickets after I'm off work. I missed Mike Relm every time here was here in 2005 (I think it was 2005; he was here like 6 times), and heard nothing but good things about him. There's a ton of good stuff happening on the 29th, but Mike Relm it is.

Typically, the Commodore (and most clubs, really) will in no way shape or form let you know when the headliner is going on. They want to keep you guessing, so you're there early and spend more money on booze.

I doubt spexx is gonna just throw that info out.

I'd expect Relm to be on, ballpark, midnight, plus minus a half. Basically if you show up at 11 there's no chance you're missing him (even if the tickets say something stupid like "DOORS AT EIGHT"..)

That said, I am showing up early for the dope beats supplied by Alien and Hedspin. And I recommend others do the same.

the liquor sales have nothing to do with me - i dont benefit if the act goes on early or late and i dont base anything on stuff like that

what we do is set up a rough sched, thats usally is more a loose guideline of times
it rarley if ever holds

what i tend to let dictate startimes is percentage of pre-sale ticket holders in the venue vs. not yet in venue

i.e

if the act is due for an 11 start and 100 out of 500 pre sold are in the room, i'll push it back to ensure more pre-sale holders get to see the headliner

if there are 300 people in line, theres no way i'd start on time

unless theres a curfew issue

but its ALWAYS recommended you get down shortly after doors, because this isnt an exact science

at a typical richards show, theres a chance 50 to 500 people may decide to get there 20 minutes before you, and you may possibly get stuck in line behind them

at a typical commodore show, theres a chance 50 to 800 people may decide to get there 20 minutes before you, and you may possibly get stuck in line behind them

that said,
relm is scheduled for 11:45 but thats flexible
