HIRSHEE Stereo Soul Recordings  Born and raised in Vancouver BC, Hirshee was exposed to a wide range of musical styles early on. The daily rotation on the family stereo included everything from Michael Jackson, to traditional Kenyan music. While the offering was diverse, he was naturally drawn to artists that expressed their talents through powerful rhythm. After such an upbringing in a musically charged environment, it was only natural for Hirshee to express himself through experimentation with different musical styles; as a result he was drawn to the art of drumming and DJ’ing. Spinning hip hop at first he soon began experimenting with different forms of electronica. After discovering the sounds of house music he instantly was hooked. Hirshee quickly made the shift and developed his new sound which got him booked regularly in the Vancouver club and party scene. After a successful stint of DJ’ing around the west coast Hirshee decided to move beyond the limitations of just DJ’ing and took the next logical step into the world of production. His love and passion for all music reflects in his productions, as his sound could vary anywhere from harder electro to funky disco. His music has already been charted by many high profile names such as Hatiras, DJ Dan, Adam K, Sandy Vee and many more. With releases on Blow Media, Jet Set Music, Gossip, Sweet Cherry and his own label Stereo Soul Recordings, watch out for more quality releases from this rising star as his demand for music is rapidly growing. DJ MYSHELL DJ Myshell -Official website DJ Myshell: Electronic Music Producer and Remixer  Trained in Acutonics and Sound Therapy, Myshell's music defies the boundaries set by electronic music genres. Her productions fuse a vast array of influences. Her live electronic act incorporates elements of trance, house, breaks, funk, rock and even hip-hop. Myshell’s spontaneous sets involve remixes on the fly with loops layered and arranged in real time. No two shows are alike. Myshell has opened for some of dance music's biggest names such as Matt Darey, Thomas Penton, Donald Glaude, Doc Martin, and Armin Van Buuren. Her live mix CD, Myshell Nukina Live, reached #154 on the Canadian Independent Radio Charts in 2004 as well as garnering critical praise from the likes of Jesse Saunders, "originator" of house music, and Craig Anderton, editor of EQ magazine. It can be easily said that DJ Myshell is definitely a name to watch for, this Scarlett of Music is one of Canada’s top up and coming Canadian Producer and undeniably a force to be reckoned with! CHEMICAL DJS Silverwaters Entertainment  Chemical DJ’s; made up of Average Citizen and Stimulant J, have been teaming up now for past two years. Individually, these two DJ’s hold down their own respective careers within the Vancouver party scene. Stimulant J is well established in the Vancouver Hip Hop scene, currently holding down 3 weekly residencies and playing for thousands of people every week. Average Citizen, a top promoter in Vancouver, brings nothing less then FUNK. Sticking to his love of breaks Average Citizen rocks the decks with his addicting, booty shaken beats. Together this lethal duo combines their diverse backgrounds to bring you the elite party rockin’ tunes! With their deliciously dirty basslines, these boys bring sound that’ll make you masturbate! Their recent gigs include; Apex, Summer Break V, Dooms Night, Solid NYE 2006, Kiss, and Fusion Dreams. Known for their ‘morning breaks sets’, Average and Stim warn you to expect the unexpected! All chemical, all the time! DJ LL  DJ LL aka Luscious Lisa bought her first set of decks in 2000, inspired by the booming bass of funky and florida breakbeats. She rocked the party scene of Vancouver from 2001 - 2003, playing all the craziest parties in the area. In March of '03, Lisa made the move to Grand Cayman to join up with DJ Deliverance at the hottest nightclub on the island. While on the island she began experimenting with hip hop and picked up on it right away. In '04 she moved to New York City, where she ended up playing at one of the top hip hop clubs in the city, owned by Timbaland. She then ended up in Southern California, playing a number of parties and events. Finally she's back home again to grace us with her slammin' hip hop inspired beats. Dominus Monologue  Dominus Monologue is a 2 person (Paper Chase and Autokrat) rap group from Vancouver, BC. Their hardcore multi cylable rhyming talent has earned them the spot as one of the hottest hip hop acts ever to come out of Vancity. They have rocked many stages with artists from Sean Paul to Trina to DPG and Snoop Dogg. Autokrat is the most well known female artist in BC in the hip hop community and Paper Chase is a recognized champion of battle rapping and producing. Formed in 2004 Dominus Monologue has continued to rock crowds at every show they have performed at and still to this day do that very thing on a regular basis. And if you’re really lucky, maybe one day you’ll get to witness this phenomenon live in your city. Keep yer eyes peeled sucka! TreFunk Evafresh ROTTEN STAGE: DnB/Dub Step CAPITAL J Spinning an DubStep/Ol' School Jungle Set!  By the power of grey skull this dj is no joke! Conquering all sights and sounds of the disc-jockey world, Dj Capital J has been a triple threat since the age of 13 when he first showed the decks who’s boss. Trained strictly as a battle DJ, Caps dominated his home town of London Ontario's scratch & mix competitions, where he remained undefeated & king of the dance for all of his adolescent years, while his production skills, even at such a young age earned him opening slots for supreme legends of hip-hop including Ice-T & Evil E, RUN DMC, EPMD, Red Man and tons more before he even left high school. His wide appreciation for music kept him locked on every sound that appealed to him, from hip-hop to hip-house up to breakbeat hardcore down to the rave then off to the jungle, Caps was on top of it all, mixing and producing oldskool jams that shook down the walls of London till there was nothing left, then eventually packing up his arsenal of dubplates and gunning straight for Toronto. When Caps aka ‘Public Enemy #1’, arrived on the front steps of Toronto Canada in ‘97, he instantly took the D&B scene by storm, Scratching records with his elbows, feet and chin all while introducing the world to his (now infamous) style of jump-up head crushing D&B with an arsenal of home grown Dub-plates & remixes.Within two months of his arrival he was crowned DJ of the month by TRIBE magazine, who followed things up by releasing the magazines top selling mix tape ever from a Feature Dj, as well headlining the peak of the legendary Canadian party scene from east to west. Then Caps made his American debut in Philadelphia PA leaving the crowd in shock and amazement at what they just witnessed on stage. He Single handedly turned the North American Drum & Bass Party scene upside down, changing the game that opposing djs brought to the tables. From Canada to the UK, top djs stepped up their skills, selection and stage presence to compete with the new blood tearing up the scene. Over the years, J has been releasing his ever growing monster sound on such labels as Food for thought, Phobic, Wikkid, N20, Mix N Blen, SRM, Frozen, Gangsta Gun, Ruff Soldier Select Records and so on, Starting with such floor mashers as The Throw Down, Niagara Falls featuring MC Fats, Bumbaclot, Mr. Mister, featuring hip-hop all-star (his lil bro) Ron B, the classic riot starter Ante Up Remix, sound clash anthem Dis Da Program, UK smash Evil Streets, the Wikkid Recs Camouflage Series which contained 4 singles, Jackmode, Whos Dat, Beat Boxin and Lock Jaw, followed by the even heavier Bling Series unleashing the Throwdown RMX. All releases mashed up the globe with an amazing response from Europe, US & Canada also receiving a lot of heavy play from the UK’s top Dj’s plus BBC’s 1xtra, KOOL Fm and a long list D&B radio, mixtape & internet mix shows everywhere. Caps currently headlines Toronto's parties as well as venues all across Canada, USA, Europe, UK and Asia to name a few, making him a serious household name. With the launch of his new production on his own label ‘VIP DUBZ’ out now, keep an eye on this man, over the past year he’s been strengthening his production skills to match his amazing visual DJ sets, which keep him on top of the scene and always a crowd favorite. SIXTEEN ARMED JACK Illegal Records  Founder of Illegal_sound and illegal_records in 2000.This dj-producer has more releases than you can count on both hands,the latest being a remix of Capital J's"Noisecheck" available on Beatport.With his love for the old school he is well known for remixing tracks to a style all his own.Be sure not to miss this Rudebwoy's set as he takes you on a journey through over a decade of Jungle music. BIAS Fixed Fridays  Bias was born and raised in Vancouver and starting out like many Djs, he heard some scratching and was instantly drawn to this interesting way to create sound manipulating records. Shortly there after he had himself his first set of turntables and was on his way of realizing his dream of becoming a dj. But it wasn't until a good friend started bringin over drum n'bass records to listen to that things really started to get rollin. Fast forward 9 years and Bias is running Vancouver's only weekly Drum n'Bass night 'Fixed Fridays'. Not only that but has played everywhere from Portland, Oregon to Scotland, UK. And played alongside the likes of Dj Hype, Fresh, Shy FX, Dj Zinc, Marcus Visionary, Benny Page, Chase and Status, Nicky Blackmarket, Suv, and Rusko. That being said Bias didn't get where he is just from selecting tracks, he is always pushing his dj skills by constantly challenging what is possible when it comes to two turnturtables a mixer and some records. In recent years he has taken it a step further and started using a third turntable to increase the versatility of his mixing prowess. Also Bias has been taken by this somewhat new form of bass driven music Dubstep. Not only has he taken to dj-in Dubstep but has done it with that same flair he is known for in his huge three turntable sets that set him apart from most other djs. Setting up strong roots in his homecity Bias is always looking to represent the music he loves to more and more eager listeners from all over the globe young and old. Bias even more recently started his own Radio show on Dubstep Radio - Dubstep.fm called 'Mo Fire' where he showcases dubstep music from local and international producers. Also has started to cut dubplates of exclusive material from producers he has met in his travels in music. Enter the present and Bias is set to unleash some crazy bass driven tunes the on world..............Watch....tha...bass. DJ BRUKOUT Black Crack/Common Grooves  For the last six years Brukout has cut his teeth in the Vancity scene; throwing down fierce blends, and island vibes. He has been opening for large acts from Bone Thugs and harmony to Benny Page, Freestylers, and Andy C to name a few. He has been a resident dj at cyber nightclub, red room, and maxines hideaway in vancouver, and has even performed at events of 5000 people. Dj Brukout has released 2 mix albums so far, Drunken Master, And Sensi Summer Sessions Vol.1. And is always armed with a crate full of rare finds and grimey bass driven beatz from hip hop to jungle, dancehall, reggae, and top 40 remixs. This DJ will do mixs of various genres that are guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor brukinout.
