The original dude posted about Zenn in this thread - which is another promoters thread for a totally different party. That in itself would have pissed me off if it was in one of my event threads and I would have found it disrespectful. |

You know that spam wasn't originally synonymous with "advertisement"? Back in the day someone who spammed was someone in an IRC or chat room that kept throwing the same useless comments in every third second. Very often just the word "SPAM" (referring to Monty Python a little more directly). So that's what spam really means: pointless waste of digital real estate. It became synonymous with advertising because eventually net marketers discovered that this was an effective way to advertise.
The hate comes because he's throwing his party's bs in all kinds of threads and forums where really he should just do what everybody else does and keep it to a single thread. Or, at the very least, pay the website administrators for advertising space. Then not only does he get THREE threads (party thread, tickets thread and review thread) but also a shiny little banner ad on the front page. The hate comes because he's breaking one of the oldest rules of netiquette. Namely: DON'T SPAM. |
