Island Style 3
Well I just woke up from the aftermass of Island Style. For those of you who went, That is the Island Scene at it's best. For those of you who missed out I hope that Meow Mix will be a lot like IS3. The one exception was the fact that it was pretty much on a dirt venue meaning we were dancing on dirt and when the sun rose in the morning...Every single person in the place was hellla dirty! The Lasers and the lights they used there were believe it or not. They were BETTER than the ones I've seen used at PNE and at Plaza. Around 1500 people came and i'm pretty sure most were satisfied with their night. Only had to wait in line for about 2 minutes, a 10 second bag check, Blowing black crusties outta your nose, scraping dirt outta my fingernails, Taking a half hour shower and last but not least Going Sober! and going to my first party in 5 months!
A little more detail about the area. There were 3 stages 1. Trance 2. Jungle & DnB 3. Funky House for the main part The one stage that was baning all night and day was definately the FUnky House stage the music was just awesome! SO yeah! 2 weeks! Meow Mix! Actually yes we juss had a 3 day party the other weekend
SoundWave which was a wikkid party and to get back on Topic IS3 was pretty good there was somone there bumpin some new hardhouse on tha trance stage which was wikkid wish i knew who it was the DnB stage sucked but thats cause i hate DnB the Funky stage was kiking it the whole fukken time B+Funky tunes is da shit as much as i would of loved to dance to hardhouse lastnite i was flailin hard and to feble to dance to it good and the lazers were fukken amazing it was a wikkid nite MeowMix2 is gonna be awesome with out a doubt cant wait for Apex next weekend peace PS we are gonna have to meet some time 2-Sweet |

i went
it was quite different compared to vancouver parties thats for sure i wasen't quite awake and really not in the mood to dance or anything. special ed and dooner/andre's set were the best soo many kandy kids! good vibe...but i didn't know like anyone except a few island friends. if i stayed drunk the rest of the night i probably would have been able to stay up and dance. |

Well Island Style 3 was one incredible night. It wasn't as good as last year's Island Style, as it would've been much better if it were at the Island View Beach (like last yr) versus in Mill Bay! The music was wicked! No matter what stage you were at, you're gauranteed to enjoy it! The lights were pretty damn good compared to some previous parties over here in the last few months! Although the strobe lights were scary when on the dance floor and I tried to avoid them as much as possible! It totally sucked that the party was in dirt! Definately took a long time to shower this morning. The slack security made it super easy to drink! Although around midnight I took a 2hr nap in the tent (as I was so tired from being up there from the beginning & being sober). But when I got up the party was going off which was awesome to see. It got kind of cold up there though, and a long ass trip to the car was in order to warm ourselves up! And right after we got out of the car, we realized that we had accidently locked the keys in the car!!!! So we had to call a tow truck to come and get our keys out...that really sucked. All in all though I had a wicked night! We left early at like 5am, as our car load was in much need of warm beds and sleep. Hope everyone who came out had as much fun as moi! :)

IS3 was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! i think, i'm still trying to put all the bits and peices together in my head! I had an awsome time and i know that everyone else who was there did too! The lazers and lights were awsome, the best i have ever seen!
For all of u who missed out, i better see u at meow mix, and for all u hardcores out there, there is a party is CAMPBELL RIVER, the night after meow mix, its called ELECTRONIC INJECTION cheak the event and promo board for more info! |
