First off, I would like to thank everyone who came out and supported this party, we really appreciate it. This is probably the reason that I'm not as pissed off as I shoud be. Thanks again.
Personally I haven't seen Riverside that packed from front to back in a while. For the short 5 hours that the party ran, the people, vibe, and tunes was just incredible. Without a doubt every DJ ripped it up. Sorry to all the locals who didn't even get to play, you guys don't know how bad I feel about it. I want everyone to know that when the toilet problems first arose, Sanjeev the owner of Riverside informed me that it was just a small problem and a plumber was on his way to get it fixed right away...About 45 mins to an hour later, still no plumber. As we waited in the front calling for security to tell Sanjeev to come down to talk to us again, he was no where to be found and wouldn't pick up his cell phone. Several minutes passed as we kept waiting and noticed and more and more RCMP started arriving at the scene. We tried our best to convince the cops that closing the party now would just cause absolute mayhem in the streets and to please let us push the party at least till 5am. We even tried contacting Allan Clark, the city worker who issued us our permit. About a half an hour later, Sanjeev returns with 2 officers telling me that I had to shut the party down, end of discussion. Again I'm really sorry that everyone paid full price for half a party but this shit became beyond my control and there wasn't shit we could do about it. In all my years of partying a problem like this has never happened, we have not done a show since early 2001 and I guess it's just our luck that the time we decide to come back, this happens. SOORY EVERYONE if we could say it a million times we would. |

I had an alright time at the party...dope trax upstairs before the party got shut down......it sux that people dont know how to use a toilet properly.... like shit who is that dirty to not even throw a pad away and to just flush the toilet..thats sick...anyways good job RJAY it was nice meeting you again....im sorry your party got shut down...but shit happens..and there was shit loads of people there anyways! anyways I had a great time and it was good to see some people! I had fun:)

whole night i was patiently waiting for the breaks and christian's set downstairs.. and right when there was about 2 hours left of waiting...it got shutdown. that was pretty upsetting, but what can ya do. trashy's set was decent, but at the time i was a lil psycho and didn't really keep my ears open. the lil predrinking was a lot of fun, but the winston special replica did not work at all. i really wished the night didn't stop...i didn't even dance. =(

props to Nocturnal! Great party. phat bass and phat bass lines in the upstairs room! those cops were scetching me out at first when I got there cause they were all over the place. but once I got high and it got busy it was tons of fun.
ya that was really gross. the last time I went to tha washroom the smell was fucking sick..I am glad I left when I did which was at 4am. so what time did the party end???? againg Props to Nocturnal!! oh and hope U had a good birthday Eric!!! |

Yep... Trashy was dropping a lot of un-released stuff of his which is why he was playing off of CD a fair bit.
Some of Trashy's tracks were okay but I am not a big fan of the style of Break that he played at this show - hard housey/trancey kinda style. Solid tunes, just not my style. |

it was a dope party except for the fact that it got shut down by the pigs at 4. .. and the ratio of asians to other races was like 5:1. i'm deffinitely not racist, but where were all you whites etc.?!
dj trashy went nuts, i'd say he was the best i saw there. |

indeed it was a good party, too bad for the sewage problem. props goes out for a well-promoted show to the Nocturnal crew. I just hope the same incident won't happen at insomnia :sick: we'll have portable washrooms just in case anything like this happens Or you'll be seeing adam/jimmy as plumbers & me taking pictures. :toasted:

Trashy was the shit and Barthez was also the shit. Consistant good music in the main room and also some dope jungle in the 2nd room. And once again Azim threw down some wicked tracks especially when he played Jump by Buzzy Bus (speed garage mix)
