Above & Beyond @ Viva, Aug. 1
Just got back from Viva... first time I've been there in a long time now that they feature trance on Fridays. All I have to say is...
ABOVE & BEYOND ROCK! It was mostly Paavo playing during the 2 hour set... he was also available to sign my "Far From in Love" track, which was nice! Trance wise... I thought the track selection was awesome. To be honest... I've had a bad opinion of Club Viva (hence this being my first time there in a LONG time). It's mostly crowded with thugged out Vietnamese, and Hongers who bring their lounge-style partying (i.e. sitting around getting drunk aimlessly) to a club scene. Although the crowd was still the same... I couldn't care less (I'm Chinese too btw!). The music is what made the party tight and bumpin! The dance floor was packed! The club is big (or small) enough for a nice intimate setting, fit for a show like Above & Beyond. If you were there... I don't care if you're Chinese, Viet, or white... you would have had a great time! Everybody was dancing hard! Oh my... the powers of trance :) Suffice to say... this night has changed my opinion of Viva... at least for their trance nights on friday. Great show! Above & Beyond will not disappoint for Apex! In fact, they would be a great hit for a Plaza party in the future too... |

Man I fuckin missed out, I was gonna come down but I got back into town at like 1:30 am and didn't really feel like goin for a whole 5 to 10 mins... But congrats to danny my good friend on havin a kick ass nite with above and beyond...

Just want to thank everyone who came out to viva last night, Paavo had a great time and is looking forward to playing apex tonight, hes been saving some unbelievably sick traks to unleash on the FK trance stage so dont miss it!!!
