disco d really made my night and i am so happy that i made it out to see him. it was nice to see a handsome, jewish, well mannered, performer with good morals and values spin an amazing ghetto tech set. his set of off-the-hezzy tracks made my ass shake in the most wholesome way. i was planning on asking him for his autograph but i got way to f’n nervous and was not able to work up the courage after he finished his set *sadface*

all I can say is promoter AGROCULTUREdavid PLEASE bring that man out again real soon.

here goes my long and confusing post.

you kids were retarded, dalyn, i was ready to fucking deck you but i didn't, can't quite remember why, probably because i didn't want to carry your ass off the stage. same goes for whatever other reject kept hitting the tables, i think it was myles, fucking drunk people. stick to smoking and heroin, you'll probably die faster and be out of my way sooner.

surprisingly, it was a fun show, mostly because i could hide on the stage and play with the pretty amp rack, hopefully it sounded okay, i wasn't able to be in 2 places at once, so i just ran all the tops at -2db or so and hoped it all fell into place... any complaints lemme know, i'm trying to be a better sound tech (lighting is my real trade, but dave didn't get me any toys this time)

czech = fag. the only reason he sounded any good is because i rode his levels like a fucking rollercoaster for his entire set... for some reason, he can't figure out how to keep it in the green.

for any and all DJ's out there that don't know how to use a real fucking mixer, RED = TURN SOMETHING DOWN you flaming IDIOT red lights are BAD, PERIOD. if it's above 0db, assume it's getting clipped, that way, if something DOES go +3, you've got room there if you NEED it. god dammit, RAWR.

not clipping things and always sending a flat and clean (0db) signal will:
a)impress every sound tech who is running whatever system you're playing on
b)make mixing a lot easier, because you can see the right levels on the PFL
c)make your shit louder on a real system, because you won't be hard knee limiting yourself every time the bass kicks.
d) MAKE YOU A BETTER DJ and if you practice this at home, you won't sound like shit on your mix tapes/cd's.

i don't give a fuck if you think +3db is nominal. If +3db was nominal, then why does everyone with a clue call it headroom?

i covered around 12db of range at this show, and that's just on the processor inputs.

i hope you guys liked how it sounded, it was LOUD as fuck, i know, but it's booty house, it needs the extra volume to sound any good :)

aaaanyways, it was rad to see old friends, and i *heart* disco D, he knows how to use a mixer. i got to turn the system up and not worry about it :D :D :D

good job overall dave and ryan, but we need to talk about your production, it's the only area you guys are kinda lacking in sometimes and i think i could help you out a lot (plus i'm a cheap gear whore, and i'll do things for weed) :P

^^ good tip that every dj should know. once i started doing this a long time ago my JBL's have pumped cleaner and louder from that day on :)
