Had i good time even though I left shortly after my set. But I had things to do in the morning. lol I think I must have missed the prime of the party wich sucks. But hey props to Eric and Josh for putting on such a good show. They never seem to fail us. Hope you had a great b-day Eric. Later

nnp: way to throw it down, it was a great night, lots of fun. myles: you gotta stop telling drunk girls you're a DJ, it was gettin on rediculous in the morning there. recap of the nights events was: flail, repeat, wrote " only stupid people let me write on them, fuck you're stupid" on a lot of ravers. got written on. flail. flail. flail. gong. flail whut?! a hole lot of stupid + repeat. great meeting/seeing/talking to everyone again. Pbreak: fuck you for punching me in the balls. josh- you played the k-song, you're my hero. they need to hook you up with a 'happier' partner next time. it was 5 peoples birthdays that day. happy birthday to you all. drugs are bad kids. it was really nice to see some hip hop roots showing through throughout the evening, with all the bboys, turntablism, beatboxing and fly dancers. everyone seemed to be having a good time, including the dj's - which is always refreshing and is reflected in the crowd. i arrived during the tail end of aaron and krusha's set, which totally bummed me out, cuz theirs was the set i was most curiously anticipating (since i enjoyed aaron's selection so much @ round 2) but what i did manage to catch was awesome. i was running towards the building, freakin out, "i'm missing bullit time!" (sucks to having to work on saturday nights...) i think akeel and mateo's set was my fav of the night... it was nice to let go of the funk and hear some slightly more intelligent breaks. the scratching was solid... akeel knows what's up. a pleasing variety of breaks, with flow. nice work boys. christian and hirshee held it down, as usual. definately enjoyed their set (ditto on friday night @ sonar) :P i didn't last through the end of josh & triple d, but i stayed for most of their set, and totally enjoyed it. great work mike for your first party! josh's selection is always fun times & his mixing is spot on. i feel guilty for not staying for the final dnb set, cuz i'm always bitching about wanting more dnb, but i couldn't last... next time for sure. dabbler & manos one of course had me sweating my ass off... boh boh!!! these two can always hold it down. shouts to - liam (aka the hottest brother up in there), seb, kyle, cody, jon, cass, erica, brian, umm... nice to see/ meet - matt, james, tiffany, mario, travis, david, chris, and a ton of other ppl i forget. nicole* |

THANK YOU TO ALL THE DJs
From start to finish: Lino vs. Geg the Jingli: A very nice funky hiphop with some awsome scratching to start us off, it was exactly what we need to get us going, thank you guys. Sheps vs. Cadence: Damn you guys for getting loast on the way...LOL It's all good Josh and mike covered nicely for you guys. Good last part to your set and thank you for coming back and playing with Josh and Mike for their set. Great job and Thank you very much. Krusha vs. Aaron J: Excellent music selection and dead on mixes. Very Impressive work guys. Sorry about the adjusting of the mixer while you guys were in your mix, sound problems occured out of the blue, but thanks for understanding and thank you very much for playing. Akeel vs. Mateo: What can I say... WOW that was one of the best sets I've heard in a long time, you guys make a killer team but still no "DOT CA" right Akeel... Mateo you get better and better with every set. Thank you very much guys. Hirshee vs. Christian Alvarez: FuNkY DiScO PiMpS... not much I can say when the crowd says it all. Bombs after bombs... thank you soo much guys and Christian Happy Birthday! C.A.K.: Adam and Kraig, Always enjoy playing with you guys, we always tend to have such a good time, unfortunatly I didn't get to be drunk with you guys. I had to be responsible. But thank you soo much guys.. and yeah adam, I thought you were going to play Push up. Thank you guys.. till the next CAK event! Manos One vs. Dabbler: Speechless.............. everytime you guys play for us the floor doesn't stop moving! Thank you soo much for the rocking set and I'm already looking forward till the next one! Major Josh vs.Triple D: Pleasing the crowd 2 times in one night, awsome job. Josh like I said man, wow Improving fast, mixing and programming is good. Mike, holy shit man, great mixing skills. Keep up the good work. Thank you soo much. Jedi Pimp vs. My Size Dj: Another first apperance at this show for DJs and what an excellent way to end it. Great music and good mixing. looking forward to hearing you guys more and more in the future. thank you guys. MCs & B-Boys & BeatBoxers: all I can say is DAMN! sick lyrics, sick moves and sick sounds. nuff said... can't wait to see the videos of what i missed, because what I saw was CRAZY... *** ALL DJs *** Thank you very much to all of you for one of the best B-Day gifts ever. ok special help props: Josh, Yurie, lexa, Amanda, Matt, Jessica, Dustin, Chelsea, Shawn, GOAT!: Decorations were awsome, and then for the help with set up and clean up and with door and water selling, thank you soo much! you guys are the bestest Tony, Pat, Jen, and Chris: thnx for security... holding the place down! and to everyone else who helped in anyway possible.. you know we luv ya! |
