A Huge Thank You from KISS!
First and foremost I would like to thank all the awesome party kids that made this event truly amazing! I hope it was an event most of you will remember for a long time!
Here is my quick rundown of the show! Firstly all rooms looked amazing! The visuals in the main room by Tony were phenomenal! Quinn did an amazing job in the other room, and the decor by Bebu and here crew we absolutely gorgeous... Main Room: Rev - one of the best opening sets Ive heard in a while! The perfect beats to welcome the crowd to KISS! Keoki - what can I say, the legend definitely came through! some killer electro stuff to really put the night into high swing! Ken Ishii - A mixer wizard... he played with that thing like a lil toy! Reminded me of a male version of Mistress Barbara! Talla - Well you got what you expected... a wide variety of trance...always impressive from a good DJ. Tazix - this guy is going somewhere! awesome way to close it out! and akeel..nice drummin'! House Room: Dave and Hirshee - the 2 most consistently killer house DJs in Van! funk funk and funky! Dmitry Deee-lite - My surprise of the night! What a great guy and really played some dope shit, and kept rockin along with the crowd! Thomas Mezey - bias cause he's my lil bro! but now I know why he's blowing up in Montreal like he is! Damn where the fuck you find some of those records!! SICK!! Pants - dope 2 step to end it!! Breaks/Dnb Precise - SICK SICK SICK!! I think the best DJ in VAN! best DJ to ever open for a breaks/DMC headliner! Domination - his first 25 min put KISS into perspective for me!! It defined the whole show!! DAMN!!! the energy and hype was awesome! Mat the Alien - great as always! To all the other locals I missed... I only heard amazing things!!! Such a good job!!! And finally to my 2 great friends and partners who made this show so amazing, Dave & Ivan. Dave for doing what he does and being the best at promoting anything in this city. And Ivan for believing in this wacking idea I had for a party a few years back. And to both of them for believing in trying something new with DJs and production!! Bev and her POSSE made the venue look soooooooooo good!! amazing job!!! youll always be part of making anything else happen! Lastly I guess to my head for not letting me fall asleep some night about a year and a half ago when I came up with this crazy idea for a new valentines massive! Well with plaza leaving KISS will have a new home in 2005, but things can only get even better!! ^^^^ thx man, ill let him know!! hopefully some other promoter books him soon so he doesnt have to wait for my next show for him to come back!! Dimitry told my brother "one of the best house set Ive heard in the last 5 years"! my brother was blown away and humbled to say the least.... especially coming from someone my brother holds in such high regard!

Hey man, it was my pleasure to lend a hand at any time, and I look forward to assisting in the future. :)
As for saving the day for our man Dimitry, it was pretty funny...he asked Dave and I, we went running off into the BC Room (coincidence? I think not), then Dimitry told me he'd either be up in the theatre or down by the Needle booth...then Dave actually found the solution to the problem, and then I spent 15-20 minutes combing the theatre, the area by Needle, backstage, the BC Room, and all points in between and ran smack dab into you two as I was about to give up hope! Just one of my many adventures throughout the evening. :) |

:rave:Now thats what i call a party,it was so done out-thaxn to bev n ppl im guessing the line ups were amazing! talla was sick like i knew hed be keoke(sp?) put down sum hard beats that were great to get right down to breaks was good didnt pay much attention to the damn room thou always came at bad times so i left!!! :finger: HOUSE!! whoa what a show the tracks there were all so fuckin mint! GROOOVE IS INN THE HOUUSE lol to all the djs n there track selection-thanks guys that was sick you kept it rockin all nite long,i never not once got sick of that room :keebler: im oficially a house addict :kimmie: last but DEFENATLY not least dave,mez&ivan..You guys are my heros!!! :smoke1: thanks for the..rockin good time,i still cant think of a word good enough to desribe it! There is no greed, no stress, and all fun! I actually can't see KISS being what it is, if we were missing a part of the team Can't wait for the Huge dinner and drink meeting we're all gonna have soon! We're gonna get Bev and the Fun Fun crew DRUNK!!!! |
