Excellent night, excellent show, thanx to everyone involved in bringing her down! Is it just me, or has this year (2004) been particularly good in terms of shows/parties?

Anyhoo, got to dance, got to flail (more of the second than the first, I'm sure), got to see lots of peeps who I haven't seen in a while and got to be reminded of why they are fun to chill with in the first place.

Only (minor) complaints were the venue itself - not a big fan of the Cave and, for many acts, I'd simply not go rather than have to put up with that venue. Door bouncers forcing slow lines by catering to those who'll pay them off to get in faster (I know this happens all over, but seems more pronounced here); no distinction between those with and without tickets at the door; no decor; cold water turned off in the bathrooms to prevent peeps from refilling water; and then charging me $4 for a water that was only lukewarm at best.

yeah the 4 bucks a bottle was slightly outrageous...I'm surprised they didnt fix up that place after The Rage closed its doors....

I believe i heard somewhere that the Cave will be renovating the whole place very soon:y:

Hopefully this is true cause yeah that place is looking more and more like a cave:)

To "kandyapple" i just wanted to ask you why you would dis some girls who were asked to dance on stage, but had to be removed because it was bouncing the turn tables.??? i thought they looked really good up there and they had me and the crowd goin...if you have ever been to any DJ events in the past they all have dancers or people dancing on the stage...its called VIP but i guess this must have been your first event, or your just jealous..?

Sources close to Akeel's neighbor's housekeeper's poodle's former owner told me that the Anne Savage concert was the last event there until May or so, when the doors will reopen and it won't smell like puke.

The place hasn't had a renovation since...1991, I believe. That is FAR too long for a nightclub. And that was only a token renovation from the 86 street music hall.

So basically that's puke circa expo 86 you're smelling, kids.

mystic, I welcome you to FNK as your obviously joined to get your two cents in. kandyapple is a vet, she has danced on more stages then both britney spears and the blue man group combined. as im sure the girls looked good on stage (I didnt care notice) if there was any vibrations from their hoofs pounding around near the decks, then by all means they shouldnt be up there. "vip" as you like to call it means nothing to us vets, we are vip. me and kandyapple have vip tatooed on our left butt cheek were so important. anyway, flame war aside, lets be nice in this thread plz :)

Considdering they were kicked off the stage everytime they got up there it appeared that they were never asked to do anything but get off. I guess calling them hooches is a little harsh but they way the were all flirty with the bouncer to get up there only suggested that they were acting like a hooch that thinks they can use there looks to do what they want. And jellous no way in hell. I found them both rather unattractive imo. But i'm picky with my women. lol and not to say i'm a gem to look at but I have no envy to look like either of them.
And it was deffinatly not my first time out to a club. I see girls on stage all the time. The only thing that caught my attention was they way they would try to flirt up the bouncer to let them stay up there. That doesn't look like they were vip. But whatever. If they knew him then I'm sorry for my comment. But I just think it's gross how girls use there looks to get attention and things they want thats all. So if thats not what they were doing then i'm sorry my mistake.

I wasnt the one not being nice in these threats i believe kandyapple called those girl "hoochies" and i was only stinking up for them when they could be clearly nice girls, actually i kinda know them and they are..and she has no idea who they are, what makes them "hoochie" ?
Thats really funny you say "vet" because i was reading Kandyapple's profile and her first rave was Spooky 5 well hum i went to spooky ya thats right just spooky ...i was just sticking up for these girls who attempted to dance on stage im not trying to start any flame war, i just dont think its right for people to label others

Thanks for the feedback on the event all... I shared a lot of what you had to say RE: the venue with Azim as in future, we do plan to throw other one-off events there. This type of feedback is CRITICAL.

One thing I am surprised wasn't mentioned was the fact the event lacked a laser! -- I personally would have wanted to see something like that. -- Like what we had going on for Armin when we brought him there. That was a SICK setup! Rest assured that type of thing will all be taken in to account as we do more and more club events!
