Wow I luvd Dougie Parties so chilled and relaxed and always a good time. But like others have said thank god jus a venue not a life. SHIT this really sux I luved it and even if it got shut down early I was able to still rave on my walk back to Port Moody what fun adventures those r.

well whoever is responsible for losing Douglas as a venue is a complete fuck head...it will kill a lot of the promoters that were using that venue, cause it was free and safe, and there is no way a small party with no headliners, that have to pay $1500+ for a venue can do their shows anymore....

this will be devastating for the underground scene, especially at the rate the cops are busting up shows these days...

and WTF?? 7:30am - should have dragged the person outside then called 911!!

glad no one was hurt ... but shit, use your heads and think of the other people who need to use that venue too... MORONS!

It was an alright venue...Some parties there were really fun and some were not so great for me. Too bad that guy had to be so irresponsible and ruin it for everyone else. I was personally finding Douglas to be getting too overused, and like miss.myra was saying it just makes us have to get more creative.

yeah it was super clean, we tryed our best to spick and span it everytime, to keep them happy, but in then end everything burns out...

no this is not the end of the underground rave scene, but yes it will be harder for new emerging companies to throw parties as cheap as some of the ones held there...

yes there always should be some aspect of originality with venues and such, but how many FREE venues can you think of????

literally 100's of promoters having been searching for good venues for years
Some pop up and then they're gone
New ones will come
There are plenty of usable venues out there still
When they come we should all be responsible enough to take care of them so we can use em in the future

Promoters should do what it takes, and ravers should do what it takes by respecting the venue and the nighborhood surrounding it =)

It was one of the promoters that overdosed? Or is someone fuckin with me?

I hope not cause that would be pretty disturbing that someone would throw a party against us, in the venue we were gonna use after we posted the date first on the net.
Our party got shut down because of that. And now no future parties can happen there?
