Lisa Pin-up @ The Cave!!!!!
WHEW! To say i'm utterly exhausted would be a gross understatement. Lisa Pin-Up was absoloutly amazing. I arrived shortly after she had taken the stage, (i've made the mistake of arriving at the cave too early once too often) and the place was going NUTS! Lisa spun an absoloutly flawless set, from beginning to end, keeping the crowd BEGGING for more all night. I mean, i've seen hardhouse in vancouver before (circa Jon the Dentist etc...) but i've never seen hardhouse like that! Track, after track after track of the hardest, fastest, most pounding house ever to rock this city. Congrats Twisted on getting Lisa to play her first North American date here, from talking to her after the show, she was as blown away by the crowd, as we all were by her. And mad props to the reno. crew at the cave... i don't know how they managed to turn that sketched out club into a respectable venue, but it looks damn good. The bathrooms actually have cold running water!

This was sic sic sic. Her set went from hard to harder her mixes were killer and she threw down tracks that had me twitchen in my shoes. I have never had such a blast in a club ever. Not only is she beutiful she is such a sweet women to talk to. My buddy and I talked to her for about twenty min at the very end of the night. I can't wait for the next time she comes out. I forgot my damn camera so if anyone hase pics can you post them?

LOL, no, sorry, no boobies, but she was gorgeous. The only thing better looking than a hot woman is one who spins records and works the crowd like Ms. Pin-Up. She doesn't spin...SHE PERFORMS! Lip synching along to every vocal, pretending at one point to be tied up and spanked, this woman knows how to work it. Cute outfit too and she was sooo gracious through the entire show right til the end. This was by far the best show I have ever seen at the cave, even better than Dumonde by some degree and I'm trance DJ so that is saying a lot. Lisa destroyed us with her sound, played lots of her own stuff too which was refreshing, since I've not pulled out my hard house crates in some years. During her set she played her tracks "Biggest Baddest Muthah", "Turn up the Sound", "I am the Woman", and "Goes Like This (Bang!)". She threw it down like no other hardstyle dj I've seen before. By far the best Tidy Girl out of the lot, and for good reason. Big thank you for the record signing, the cute picture, and of course the kiss on the cheek ;) I'm sure everyone in attendance will agree that Lisa rocked it!

nO but she shook er ass....and i gotta say she is one of the most hottest chick er i mean lady dj out there....she knows how to dj and she is a tru entertainer when behind the dex...wuz a good nYte that's for sure....thanx twisted for another gr8 night of good music....

just have to say its about time we get some quality hardhouse in vancouver.
lisa pin up rocked the shit out of the cave.. . a new mix of biggest baddest mutha was sick.... but no another jam!!! it was an excelent night... except for the few people flinging around uncontrolably(did i spell that right)and hitting people and falling down... and one or two people that smelled of feces.. Cant people smell there own shitty ass reakin up the place... seriously GOD DAM!!! but it was a good night... and hardhouse was pounding so twenty shitty people cant ruin that.. maybe 22 but not 20 |

Wicked night, that club filled up nicely near noon. Lisa was not only smokin hot but worked the crowd like crazy! Haha, I can remember this one white guy at the front, sweating buckets, screeming "I LOVE YOU!! I LOVE YOU!!" wow.. intense. Anyway, I had to duck out early to catch my train/bus oh well. Thanks Neil/Kraig for the shooter!

Sucks that you had to cut out early Myles, let us know next time, I'm sure we could've given you a ride, dude. Bus system in Van sucks, you can never stay for the freakin headliners!

All I have to say is W.O.W.!!! Going into the venue, seeing the renovations done to it...hmmm, huge room to bust out on the floor now, extra neon lighting put in place, almost feels like a techno house to me :D Azim and Tazix kicked it together trading off sets like a tag team..lots of fun, good music....now when Lisa stepped up the whole place went up in flames as she slammed track after track of base pounding hard house...there was no choice but to give'r! Amazing sounds, Lisa ripped it up, singing and dancing and playing WITH the crowd almost as if she was one of the people on the dance floor. Great buildups, vocals and all...atmosphere was AWESOME! Definitely will hit the next cave party for SURE ;) Heh, so much for me quitting the party scene for a while :070: Props to Twisted for the the night..next time I hope we party longer than 3 am :P
The shitty deal of it all..the alcohol prices were a fucking joke! NEver go to the bar and pay 9 bucks for a double vodka :( **thumbs down** |

My lordy lordy lord... I thought BK played hard. Last night was by far the hardest set I have heard at any party. She was an amazing person: worked the crowd, mixed perfectly, dance to her last song in front of the crowd the whole time, played for an extra hour (2-3am), got drunk as fuck with us, wanted to party more after, dropped some viciously hard tracks, and kept everyone waiting for the next mix to come in.
Thanks Twisted for everything. Kraig - your a monster buddy... where the hell did you go? We got to bar star it up buddy. "Double Red Bull and Vodka with a Splash of Cranberry Juice" all the way! Kamal - you really love those smokies don't ya buddy! Harp - Thanks for the ride bro! Well do it up again realll soon. Winston - we still owe eachother drinks! Everyone else (deep,neal,john, myles, rest of fnk crew) - I hope you just fuckin gave'r like I did. See ya at the next one. |

What a classic. I doubt i will ever forget this night for the fact its 2004 and this set was off the hook. It was like walking back to 99 in the main room at plaza and was soo awsome. This was a GREAT night!!!

A big thanks to all those who came out on Friday night. The newly rennovated Cave now called "Plush" was hella busy and looked great.
Lisa was a true headliner not only laying down some the best and freshest tunes of her genre, but also because of her amazing crowd interaction. She looked adorable up there! Next up... CRAVE! Cheers. |
