JDS @ The Drink last nighttt.
It was a sweet night out, especially not having gone out really for the past two months. Nice to see everybody there...just got in to catch the end of Akeel's set. Make way for the madman drummerrrr!! I enjoyed JDS...his set got better towards the second half when he wasn't playing long ass break down after long ass break down. Nice funky and rocky beats, just the way I like 'em.
AKEEL.sushi this coming week for sure. call me! nice seein' ya all hammed and happy last night. :) LDUB.trouble crew must reunite. some serious going out in the next lil' while! we gotta relocate though...i'm sick of shine. well, at least went there last sat and i hated it. just got sick of waiting in line or paying crazy $$ to get in, dealing with the cocky bouncers (not to mention the real creep ass that always hit on me), and although i love vinyl ritchie, lady p and curtis, it's the same tracks and same three different routines that they do on the mic every saturday. overdosed. JIBMONKEY.i'm glad you came out with us even though you didn't feel like going out in the afternoon. please call me up and hang out more before you leave for ethiopia. :( i'll miss you. i can't believe you're going for that long...it definitely will serve as good detox though. lol. Congrats to Haze, Mario, Mirka, and Akeel for a great night, well worth all the glue fumes inhaled and metal hooks I now own :P I think I'm getting old because this 4 hours of sleep just isn't cutting it... |

Do you mean with the dj booth by the bar?
That was permanently moved there by the owner probably almost a year ago now. The point was to make the club have a smaller feel, almost closing off the back. Personally I think it would work better if they opened a side bar, it would only really move people to one of the sides, but at least then they would be infront of the dj booth. |

So yeah. That night was really quite the awesome. Dropped a fat stack of cash on drinks, and listened to some good music, and hung out with good people. I liked the headliner, especially towards the end, but I wonder if I would have been just as happy to be hearing locals spin. No disrepect to JDS, he sounded great, but my ass just wasn't moving. Perhaps I'm a funk-bitch.
Miska - Happy Birthday! See you saturday! Akeel - I like you too much to throw money at you... although I would have been payed for it. (And 5 dollars more if I'd have said "Bitch!" when I did it) Robyn - We need to have a business lunch... soon. Erik - Did you finally get drunk off your vodka and cokes? How many did it take? Money - Demon with the camera. Thanks for the smoke. Myles - You are a rock star. Rawb - 15 year-olds get all the chicks. Do not forget this. Rhia - You are awesome. Pretty good night. Spent a fair bit of money on booze... although that seems to be the norm when I go clubbing. heh heh Heard lots of good tracks last night. :)

Hey guys,
I just wanted to tell everyone how overwhelmed R3 was from all the amazing support shown towards our first show. I was thrilled to see so many faces I knew and I really felt the night was a success in respect to what the four of us were up against. I could've danced all night long but when your ride is a hollering, what can you do? Cracked me up to see JDS drinking Molson Canadian! haha Fuckin rights. That ravetron guy was totally raving behind me and like spilled his drink. You didn't get me but had you, OOOOOOOHH BUDDY. hell to pay for sure. :P SPK - you are my fave. MAN PURSE! nice work you guys. I agree with jess, I haven't been to the drink for about a year, and i thought the set with the booth by the bar is silly, at least b4 ppl would spill out on to the dance floor, it is just asking for ppl not to dance, but none the less I had a great night!
