You were there Stan?? I didn't know that, and I missed you AGAIN!!! :003: Were you with Jo-An during the night? Cuz I was with her for a short while.
The party was pretty good. I loved the Czech vs. Groovie vs. Glaude set. There was lots of dope scratching, which I love. :031: Glaude was scratching with his elbow...it was dope as hell. Rascalz were sweet...and of course our very own Form & Kaos were awesome!! I had a good time at the party, but you wouldn't believe what happened. We lost our keys to our car near the beg of the party, and it was a rental car too!!! :032: It kinda ruined my mood cuz I was worried about it the whole night and was looking for it all the time. Didn't really dance. But I dunno...all in all it was still a pretty dope party. Dancing in snow is too slippery. Plus it was FREEZING!! I didn't wear nearly enough tho, so I guess that was my own fault. But yeah...with the whole car fiasco, we didn't get out of there until 10am. We called Budget from the mountain. But yeah, they closed the cafeteria, so we couldn't use the pay phone. And the pay phone outside was missing a receiver. :024: We tried our cells, but it was out of service area. So my boy had to walk all around the parking lot until he found a place that he could call from. Budget sent up another key by taxi, so we had to pay 62 bucks for that. And they said a $15 charge will be made for the lost key. BUT, when we returned the car, they guy there said that it was an $85 fine!!! We had to pay it, but we're filing a complaint to customer service, and we're likely to get our refund. I swear, by that time we got into the car, my whole body was shaking and my teeth were chattering cuz I was so cold. Now I'm sick. But all in all, despite all this stuff, I still really enjoyed the party. Good music...but I DID have my usual 40 year old nammer man encounter. *yuck* This guy has hit on me on my two last Plaza parties too. My bf kissed me on my cheek right in front of him, and he continued to try and dance with me. :027: :024: But on the whole, the crowd for this party was better than normal Van parties. Generally older crowd and minimal sketched out ppl, and of those ppl, they were all in the indoors room. well first off i gotta thank SNYX for the free ticket.......i appreciate it dood.......

Overall--Great party...good music...~!
The day started with Sero and I cruising around downtown dropping off flyers and taking some pics. We took some funny ones(which i'll post in crack-me-up-mofo). We then met everyone and drove up to Seymour and got up to the top around 8:40pm. We parked next to the stage and started gettin ready for a 9:10-9:30 timeslot. After some sound checks and changing cords over to a new generator we started blasting some tunes. The mixer was kinda wild (see attached pic) because it had no channel faders. It's a mixer for smooth trance mixes. You can't do too many tricks on it and the positioning of the 3 tables was kinda useless because there was no 2nd mixer. The needle on one of the tables was fuct so luckily we brought our own and let most of the dj's use them that night. It kept on skipping while i was trying to cue it. Aside from the technical issues the stage and overall setup of the event was sweet. The stages were placed far apart so there was no beat colliding. It was a short walk to first aid, food and heated washrooms. The big air contest was a must see and the little tents full of clothing and stuff was a bonus too. The cafeteria was open all night and the bar was open until 2:00. They added a 3rd basement room and this was definitely a place to go and stay warm.I give this party a 5 star rating because of it's uniqueness. It's something you can't experience on an everyday basis and honestly there's something magical about partying in the sky. The air was fresh, the town was sparkling and the music traveled through air without anyone around to gripe. I felt very peaceful and I must have bumped into 40+ people that I knew. And just like Rich said "Anyone who can't come up to the mountain in the cold weather and lives in Vancouver can't be a Canadian" we live in a cold country....get some warm clothes and tuff it out in the chilly conditions. the party was fun!
it was different from anything i've ever been to...hehe dancin on snow mostly! but it was fun being able to snowboard the whole nite with music and all .... i liked it lots! very very fun... i bit cold but as soon as i started to dance it was allll good! :029: and the best part was that i won the ticket thanks to happy-q-boy! thanks again for that! :031: |

Night was cool man i saw scotty play trance in his set, made my night.other than that met this cool chick who lives 400 kilometres away oh well...breaks stage was too cold.Enjoyed the hot boxin in the van with all you f&kers you all know who i'm talkin about.

I have to say that I had a better time than I anticipated at this party...

It doesn't take much to ban people here..
But honestly i'd like to talk with the people before doing that. I think everyone has a soft bone in their body and everyone can be friendly when they want to. All i know is that I haven't done anything to 187 and I hope he/she can find it within themselves to come by a leave some decent posts and change their daily agenda.

okay guyz..here is my reply to one of the coolest partys in van city...hmmmm it was one of the coolest partys in van city! absolutly wicked vibe from all the die-hard partying in the snow...a bit slippery though...but a little practice and dancin aint that hard...feels like your floating! i got to see all the peeps that started me raving...it was wicked...damn i miss those guyz! got there right for kev and lex's set...nice job...shitty bout the needles...and WHERE THE HELL WAS JUMPIN????? grrrr... i want a copy of that song! here are some shouts...

:027: STUPID Budjet Customer Service won't give us back our 70 bucks. ARGH. This cost us soo much. 62 bucks for the cab, and 85 bucks for the key?!?! Even after they told us it was 15 over the phone? The woman was a harsh bitch too. Said that we shouldn't have lost the key in the first place. Doesn't give them the right to lie to us tho. Then she says that she left 3 voice msgs on our phone telling us it was 85 bucks after we called...didn't talk to us cuz it was out of service area...but that's lame ass! My friend's phone doesn't even have voice. Dumbasses. :024: :024: :024: We're gunna threaten to take 'em to small claims tomorrow...hopefully they'll give in, cuz it's not worth the hassle for 70 bucks to them. If not...I dunno then. I guess it'll be our loss, cuz we don't wanna bother with the hassle either.
