DJ Hyper appreciation thread

Big ups to all that made it down to Sonar for the launch of our new Friday monthly series Vivid : Breaks at Sonar.
Wicked night was had with some great vibe and great music. This was Hyper's 4th trip to Vancouver in 3 years, and by far the best show he's had here.

Look out for Lorin Bassnectar (San Francisco) Friday November 12th!

seriously who was the opening dj this guy was a total Bum why would you even have that dj come to sonar. people didnt even start dancing till like 12 midnight

dooood, that is a strong statment, that was Hubbz, by far one of the most talented breaks/hip hop funk dj's this city has to offer. Hubbz has talent.

What are you Talking about that guy was horrible the worst dj i have EVER seen mixing that garbage? there was no one dancing for a reason iv been going to sonar for like 2 years now. this was by far the worst performence ever. we actually went up to tell him he was the worst dj.

Listen Dreckis.... Hubbz buys more records in a week then most DJs have in their whole collection. He is a true "original" breaks DJ. He doesn't play the anthems or big room tunes... he'll drop the 70's funk and mid tempo breaks.... he's the perfect warm up DJ.... I think you will agree that when Priceless took over the floor got going quite nicely to when I got up (i'm Soda), we had the place jumpin, and ready for Hyper to slay them!
You need to keep your bullshit negative comments to yourself.... we don't play anthems at 10- 11.... we like to have people come in and enjoy the music while they get there drink on and get warmed up for some serious heavy beats.
A twentyHz night is "Full Spectrum Breakbeat", which means we pay respect to the original funk and breaks early and bring the tempos up as the night moves on. Real DJs know how to play early and have the ability and selection to do so. Hubbz is a real DJ.... as is everyone that will get a chance to play the Vivid: Breaks nights.

Lol i dont care who he is i have been supporting ph1 for like 2 years now. and this guy sucked ass. There was atleast 3 others yelling at him that he sucked. he blew take it easy just be glad it wasnt you up there.


Oh and i didnt ask for damn athems but i didnt ask for Saggy button boys from oh brother were are tho haha what a skid.

How does going to Sonar for "like 2 years" make you an authority on anything? Sorry you can't handle listening to a DJ with style and originality. So you weren't feeling his set, get over it. Oh and yelling at a DJ that he sucks is fucking rude and childish. Jackass.
